Thu Mar 20 201423:55Nate Wolters suffers hand fracture Thursday
Nate Wolters suffered a left hand fracture against the Blazers on Thursday.
There is a very good chance this will end his season. The NBA has seen an inordinate amount of metacarpal breaks this year and the vast majority of them have kept players out for a month. Wolters was a very pleasant surprise as a second-round pick and he can now be cut in all leagues. Giannis Antetokounmpo started the second half and will likely get some extra playing time along with Ramon Sessions. If you were on the fence for adding either, this news might be enough to push you to make the move.

Thu Mar 20 201423:37Nate Wolters getting X-rays on left hand
Nate Wolters suffered a left hand injury against the Warriors on Thursday and is getting X-rays.
The injury didn't look too bad and we'll know more after halftime. If he is hurt, a red-hot Ramon Sessions would pick up some extra playing time.

Sun Mar 16 201415:41Nate Wolters scores 11 points in 28 minutes
Nate Wolters played 28 minutes against the Bobcats on Sunday with 11 points, three boards, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
It was his second consecutive game making 5-of-7 from the field and has picked up his efficiency lately. Since the All-Star break, Wolters shot 50.5 percent from the field on his 7.4 shots per game in his previous 14. He's a decent low-upside guy in deeper formats.

Sat Mar 15 201415:11Wolters, Sessions solid but Bucks lose again
The Bucks lost to the Knicks in convincing fashion on Saturday, as Nate Wolters led all Milwaukee scorers with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
Wolters made two 3-pointers with three rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes, combining with Ramon Sessions (14 points, four assists) to provide the only bright spots for the Bucks. A lack of defense was the biggest issue, as they allowed New York to shoot 55 percent while scoring at will in the paint, something Milwaukee will attempt to correct in Sunday's matinee vs. the Bobcats.

Wed Mar 12 201400:13Nate Wolters plays well in return to MIN
Nate Wolters, a St. Cloud native, started and had 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers on 5-of-6 shooting in 31 minutes.
Wolters is locked in as a starter for the Bucks and is having a nice season. And while tonight's line was a nice one, he's averaging just 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks and 0.6 3-pointers over his last five games. You can do better off your waiver wire.

Mon Mar 3 201423:31Wolters has a nice night in blowout win
Nate Wolters scored 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with six rebounds, five assists and one steal in Monday's blowout win over the Jazz.
For players like Wolters that are hit and miss in Larry Drew's rocky rotations, it's best to look at longer intervals to get a gauge on their value. Wolters has averaged 2.7 points, 3.1 boards, 3.0 assists and 0.7 combined steals and blocks for low-end value in 16-team formats over the last two weeks.

Thu Feb 27 201422:16Nate Wolters not looking very good now
Nate Wolters played just 17 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday with four points, one rebound and one block.
He's lost a lot of his playing time to Ramon Sessions and this is his third game in a row with less than 20 minutes. Wolters was a nice story as a second-round pick playing big minutes earlier this month, but his fantasy value looks like it's run its course.

Mon Feb 24 201422:22Wolters (ankle) plays 15 minutes in blowout
Nate Wolters (ankle) played 15 minutes in Monday's laugher win over the Sixers, scoring six points on 3-of-5 shooting with one rebound, two assists and one steal.
An optimist would say that it's simply good news that Wolters played and that his minutes were limited by the opponent and garbage time, but seeing the variety of players go off behind him like O.J. Mayo (25 points), Ramon Sessions (16 points, five assists) and others is unsettling. Wolters had a nice run but owners shouldn't be afraid to make the drop.

Mon Feb 24 201417:53Nate Wolters is starting on Monday night
Nate Wolters (ankle) will start at point guard vs. the Sixers on Monday night.
He was injured on Saturday night and it allowed Ramon Sessions to get some run. This move of Wolters starting is certainly interesting and the Bucks might want to give him an extended look with Sessions' contract expiring this season. If you need a point guard, Wolters is worth a look.

Mon Feb 24 201412:17Nate Wolters (ankle) ready to go vs. 76ers
Nate Wolters (ankle) will be ready to go vs. the 76ers on Monday.
Caron Butler is also expected to play through an ankle injury but his status is somewhat more tenuous. The Sixers give up easily the most assists to opposing PGs and it's a great matchup for Wolters' fantasy owners -- in the Bucks' three games prior to his injury this weekend, Wolters was averaging 13.7 points, 1.0 threes, 5.0 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.0 steals.

Sun Feb 23 201400:21Nate Wolters has an ankle sprain
Nate Wolters suffered an ankle sprain in the first half against the Pacers.
As per usual, the Bucks didn't announce the injury until after the game. Wolters played just 19 minutes and coach Larry Drew said the ankle injury is why he had limited playing time. Regardless, Ramon Sessions figures to hurt Wolters value, so he's not a must-own player anymore.

Sat Feb 22 201423:36Nate Wolters puts up a goose egg
Nate Wolters did not score in 19 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday.
He didn't have any assists and grabbed just four rebounds. It would appear Ramon Sessions' arrival is going to really hurt Wolters' value, so his fantasy owners might want to start looking elsewhere. We wouldn't cut him for garbage, but it make sense to swap him out for a player who is on the upswing.

Thu Feb 20 201422:48Nate Wolters plays 40 minutes at point guard
Nate Wolters started at point guard with Brandon Knight (heel) out vs. the Nuggets on Thursday, scoring 12 points with two boards, five assists and one turnover in 40 minutes.
He did his thing taking care of the ball, but Wolters has never really been the type of guard to make passes in traffic. While the rookie has been phenomenal lately, the arrival of Ramon Sessions could potentially be a problem for Wolters' playing time. He should be viewed as a hold and is probably worth owning in standard leagues until he cools off.

Wed Feb 19 201401:11Nate Wolters stays hot in win over Magic
Nate Wolters stayed hot on Tuesday, playing 40 minutes and finishing with 15 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, two steals and a 3-pointer on 6-of-13 shooting.
We still don't trust Wolters, but you can't argue with what he's doing. He's flirted with a triple-double in two straight games and is averaging 11.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.0 3-pointers over his last five while playing 35 minutes per night. Pick him up and ride him until Larry Drew picks a new teacher's pet.

Thu Feb 13 201400:35Nate Wolters scores 14 points vs. Pelicans
Nate Wolters made 6-of-11 from the field for 14 points with six boards, seven assists, one steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
He's the only rookie in the top 10 for minutes and doesn't have at least 0.5 triples per game, but that could be changing soon. Wolters has four triples in his last three games and has really made some nice strides as a scorer. It's anyone's guess if he can keep it going, but he's worth a look for point guard-needy owners.

Mon Feb 10 201423:29Wolters quiet in 36 minutes on Monday
Nate Wolters started at shooting guard and played 36 minutes on Monday against the Celtics, but managed just seven points on 2-of-9 shooting with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block.
In fairness the defensive and rebounding stats save this line but counting on that type of production every night is a losing bet. He needs to make the most of his opportunities at every juncture and he didn't do that tonight. Until he can gain more ground on his teammates, he's still nothing but a short-term speculative add for those in deep leagues.

Sun Feb 9 201400:43Nate Wolters gets loose for 19 points in loss
Nate Wolters hit 9-of-15 shots and a 3-pointer for a season-high 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal in another start on Saturday.
The rookie has been starting at shooting guard for the banged up Bucks and the points, rebounds and made baskets were all season highs tonight. Maybe he keeps this going as long as he's in the starting lineup for the Bucks, but we still don't fully trust him. This was just his fourth game of the season in double-digit scoring and he was averaging just 6.3 points in his previous three games. He's certainly worth a look going forward, and is having an impressive rookie season, but isn't necessarily someone you want to run out and add to your fantasy roster, unless you're in a pretty deep league. And the fact that Nate Wolters is a better fantasy player than O.J. Mayo tells you everything you need to know about Larry Drew and the Bucks.

Thu Feb 6 201402:37Nate Wolters starts, scores 4 points
Nate Wolters started again on Wednesday, but had just four points, four assists, a steal and a block on 2-of-7 shooting.
The minutes and starting job seem to be secure for the banged up Bucks, but his numbers are not exactly inspiring. Over his last five games, Wolters is averaging 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists. He has recorded one steal, one block and zero 3-pointers over that stretch, meaning he probably belongs on waivers, despite the fact he's starting for the league's worst team.

Wed Feb 5 201420:28Nate Wolters in the starting lineup vs. Denve
Nate Wolters (illness) will start against the Nuggets on Wednesday night.
He has been in the starting lineup for the last three games and coach Larry Drew seems like he's a fan of using the rookie as his starting shooting guard. His defense needs some serious work, but taking care of the ball has been a key positive for his case for minutes. He's only worth owning in deep leagues.

Wed Feb 5 201413:42Nate Wolters game-time decision w/ illness
Nate Wolters (illness) will be a game-time decision vs. the Nuggets on Wednesday.
Wolters has been in the Bucks' starting lineup recently, playing solid minutes alongside Brandon Knight, and if he can't suit up there will be extra opportunities for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Gary Neal and others. Check back for updates closer to tip-off.
