McDaniels finished Fridays loss to the Suns with four points (2-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-0 FT), two rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes.

McDaniels was inserted into the starting lineup and did not produce much. He puts up solid numbers when he plays over 30 minutes but that has been few and far between since early December. He can be left on the waiver wire unless an injury or trade opens up a consistent role for him.

McDaniels is easily one of the Sixers' most exciting young players, so it has been a bit of a mystery as to why he has not been starting recently. He will replace Jakarr Sampson in the starting lineup, and if talent is the determining factor, he should hold a starting role for the foreseeable future. While seeing significant minutes, McDaniels is worth an add in most formats due to his ability to fill up the defensive stats while also contributing on offense.

McDaniels's run as a viable fantasy option is over now, especially with Tony Wroten back. Although he put up strong numbers in late November/early December, McDaniels hasn't scored more than 13 points in a game in December and is shooting just 33.8 percent this month.

There was no news of McDaniels spraining his left ankle after the Sixers game Wednesday, so he either played through the sprain in game, or suffered the injury in practice. Either way, the sprain does not appear too serious and McDaniels is expected to be back in the near future.

He continues to be a blocking fool, but McDaniels has started contributing in other categories as well, averaging 15.3 points, 9.3 boards, 2.3 blocks, 1.8 threes and 1.3 steals over his last four games. He's quickly proving to be a big part of the Sixers' future, whenever that happens to arrive.

McDaniels had a bigger role in the offense with Tony Wroten (knee) sidelined, and he should continue to see more minutes for at least as long as Wroten is sidelined. McDaniels should be rostered in at least 12-team leagues to see how much run the Sixers are willing to give him with Wroten out. His ability to block shots as a guard/forward is unique.

It was a nice boost in minutes for McDaniels, and he paid off nicely if fantasy owners gave him a shot tonight. He's going to be a bit hit or miss moving forward, but is a player to monitor.

McDaniels came off the bench to play bigger minutes for the Sixers on Friday in a game that got out of hand quick. He finished the night with 17 points (5-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, and two steals in 28 minutes.

McDaniels hasn't been starting for the Sixers through this stretch, but has shown flashes of the player that many were hoping he would be before the season. His minutes and role have been erratic through the beginning of the season, however if he is able to establish himself in the rotation he can be a contributor across defensive categories who can also hit three-pointers for his team.

McDaniels came off the bench and scored four points (2-5 FG) to go with five rebounds, and two steals in 16 minutes against the Rockets Friday.

McDaniels started in Wednesday's embarrassment at the hands of the Mavericks, and, follwoing that result, it should not be surprising that the 76ers fiddled with their rotation before Friday's game. McDaniels is a highly capable defender who will probably struggle to score all season long.

McDaniels played 28 minutes Sunday, posting a stat line of 11 points, four blocks, two steals, one board and one assist with four turnovers. He will receive his first career start likely at either shooting guard or small forward.

If you're the kind of owner who likes getting production from unusual places, McDaniels' seven blocks in his last three games could look very good in one of your guard spots. The rookie has also scored in double digits in three of his last four games with seven threes, so he hasn't been a one-dimensional defensive specialist, and his minutes keep creeping up. If he's still on your waiver wire, you'll need to move quickly to get him.

McDaniels (hip) came off the bench to play 21 minutes and provide eight points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with three blocks in the loss to Miami on Saturday.

McDaniels was hurt on Friday, but the second round pick was back on the court in the second half of the back-to-back games. He was a star in the preseason, but looks like he will need to work his way up the Philly depth chart to be a solid fantasy pick.

McDaniels (hip) was not on the injury report and will be available for Saturday's game, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.

McDaniels suffered a hip flexor injury during Friday's game but it's apparently not severe enough to hold him back from Saturday's game against the Heat. He is averaging 16.5 minutes on the court over the first two games of the season.
