Moreland is making progress with Kings, as the 22-year old claims he has added close to 20 pounds this offseason with more to go, NBA.com reports.
Although Moreland went undrafted in June, he impressed the Kings' front office with his college career, setting the Oregon State school record of blocked shots (184), and with his success with the Kings' summer league team, averaging 3.5 points off the bench over six games, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. If he continues to show that kind of production in the NBA, Moreland will be an up-and-coming player to watch.

Moreland averaged 3.5 points, 8.8 boards and 2.7 blocks in 19 minutes for the Kings' summer league team and his play has earned him a contract with the team. The rookie averaged 8.9 points, 10.2 boards and 1.4 assists as a redshirt junior at Oregon State. Moreland will have an uphill battle to make the roster, but will get a chance to do so in training camp.

Moreland is also the Beavers' all-time leader in blocks, and he swatted 2.7 shots per game at summer league this month. He'll head to training camp with an outside shot to make the team.
