Wed Jan 4 202317:01Duncan Robinson Will Undergo Surgery, Miss At Least One Month
Miami Heat power forward Duncan Robinson (finger) has elected to undergo surgery on the second finger on his right hand, an ailment which has bothered him for over a month. The sharpshooter is set to be down for at least the next four weeks, opening minutes for Max Strus, Haywood Highsmith and others to fill on a short-term basis. Heralded as one of the game's premier marksmen for the past three years, Robinson has scuffled mightily in 2022-23, shooting just 33.1 percent from deep while averaging 6.9 PPG. His inconsistent role among the second unit likely shifted him to the waiver wire in many formats, while his absence will solidify his status unless he reclaims his rhythm upon his return.

Sat Dec 10 202200:02Duncan Robinson Likely To Suit Up Against The Spurs
Miami Heat forward Duncan Robinson (ankle) is expected to play versus the San Antonio Spurs. The 28-year-old has been battling a sprained left ankle. However, considering he hasn't seen a consistent workload all season, his status in either direction won't impact many fantasy managers, anyway. Robinson has also averaged only 6.1 points per game in 2022-23, which is another thing going against him.

Thu Dec 8 202214:08Duncan Robinson Probable For Thursday's Game
Miami Heat forward Duncan Robinson (ankle) returned to the floor on Tuesday with a lackluster performance. Now, he's listed as probable to play again on Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers. He'll look to bounce back after only playing 15 minutes and scoring just five points. While he's back, Nikola Jovic and Victor Oladipo will both take hits in their value. All three players aren't very trustworthy except for very deep leagues.

Wed Nov 30 202215:09Duncan Robinson On Track To Return
Miami Heat guard/forward Duncan Robinson is regarded as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Celtics, but he went through the shootaround and is expected to play. If he indeed returns, Robinson will be back from a four-game absence. The 28-year-old sniper has found his way back to Erik Spoelstra's plans this season and has been logging some good minutes off the bench, although Robinson's poor shooting has limited his fantasy value and he's not really a guy fantasy managers can count on.

Sun Nov 27 202214:11Duncan Robinson Questionable On Sunday
Miami Heat forward Duncan Robinson (ankle) is questionable ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Hawks. The 28-year-old missed the last three games with a sprained ankle. However, he's averaged only 6.3 points this season. If Robinson plays, he won't be an attractive fantasy option, even with the potential to see a bump in production with Jimmy Butler (knee) out of the lineup.

Fri Nov 25 202217:49Duncan Robinson Absent Against Washington
Miami Heat forward Duncan Robinson (ankle) won't suit up against the Wizards, marking his second straight absence because of a sprained left ankle. The 28-year-old has averaged only 8.3 points in 17.6 minutes per game this season. However, with so many of Miami's players on the injury report ahead of Friday's game, including Jimmy Butler (knee), Tyler Herro (ankle), and Max Strus (shoulder), Robinson could have seen some more work. But now guys like Nikola Jovic and Haywood Highsmith (hip) could serve as viable streaming options versus Washington.

Sun Nov 20 202221:26Duncan Robinson Leaves Sunday's Game With Ankle Injury
Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson (ankle) left the game on Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a sprained left ankle and he was unable to return. The 28-year-old sharpshooter registered seven points and one rebound across 21 minutes before he had to leave. Max Strus saw more playing time due to his absence. Moving forward, if Robinson has to miss more time, look for Strus and Gabe Vincent to pick up more opportunities.

Fri Nov 18 202215:16Duncan Robinson Will Miss Friday’s Contest
Miami Heat small forward Duncan Robinson (hand) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. Washington due to a sprained right hand. Robinson's absence adds to the extensive list for the Heat, who will definitively be down Jimmy Butler (knee), Tyler Herro (ankle) and Victor Oladipo (knee), with Bam Adebayo (knee) also questionable. The widespread absences on the wing make Max Strus a near must-play on the DFS market, with Haywood Highsmith and Gabe Vincent intriguing upside plays as well. Robinson has been uncharacteristically cold from long range this year, knocking down just 30.4% from deep. His next chance to take the floor comes Sunday against the Cavaliers.

Mon Oct 3 202208:30NBA Draft: UDFAs Who Won't Waste Time
It's funny that every year at the NBA Draft, once the end of the guaranteed money and live appearances arrives at the end of the first round, everybody tunes out and refers to the 60th pick as "Mr. Irrelevant." That's not very accurate though, is it? Speaking historically, the title of "Mr. Irrelevant" could just as easily be applied to each pick in the draft, as organizations differ greatly in their evaluation of talent and their own needs, particularly in a year without the NCAA tournament. The nickname just doesn't reflect how basketball works anymore. Executives strategically stockpile second-round draft picks for the less burdensome financial obligations, and organizations in rebuilding mode get super creative to field a respectable team on a budget.Particularly in the NBA where worldwide talent is plentiful and positional lines continue to fade, opportunity is everything: in the right situation, the right under-the-radar player can make an immediate, poignant statement. With professional development leagues for 16-18-year-olds, an ever-expanding set of domestic/international opportunities due to the sheer growth of basketball, and widespread NIL rights for college athletes, players of all levels and localities are starting to get their due exposure and now have enough freedom to hone their skills in a place, and at a pace that fits best with their path to the NBA.Plus, I am inherently skeptical and distrusting of scouting from the high school level to pre-Draft. That's why in this annual article, I tend to favor overlooked college players (love the mid-majors/non-power conferences) with either well-rounded, polished games, or specific statistical specialties. We are going to discuss a handful of 2022 second-round picks and undrafted free agent (UDFA) signees who, given their individual skillsets and circumstances, warrant the attention of Fantasy Basketball Managers as potential high-impact rookies for the 2022-23 campaign who can quietly be acquired on clearance once they start showing signs of emergence.... Sun Aug 7 202219:09Duncan Robinson Could Be Included In Future Deals
Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson could be shipped if the team manages to make a move ahead of the regular season, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. While trade rumblings have been quiet as of late, primarily after Miami appeared committed to landing Kevin Durant or Donovan Mitchell, Winderman points to Robinson's current contract as a pivotal piece to any potential deal if negotiations ramp up. Unquestionably, the Heat would love to move on from the 28-year-old and his hefty contract, especially after he regressed in all statistical categories in 2021-22. Nonetheless, although the former Michigan Wolverine isn't a lock to be a consistent contributor on the fantasy end this season if he remains in South Beach, his outlook may improve if he suits up for a new club.

Tue May 10 202218:31Duncan Robinson Could Play In Game 5
Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson could see some action during Tuesday's Game 5 contest, according to head coach Erik Spoelstra. Robinson has only played one minute through the first four games. However, Spoelstra mentioned that Robinson has stayed ready and that we'll see what happens during Game 5. The Heat might need Robinson to help out with Kyle Lowry (hamstring) sidelined on Tuesday. This team has struggled from downtown, so possibly Robinson could help them. Fantasy managers should still avoid Robinson since it's uncertain if he'll play.

Wed Mar 30 202218:32Duncan Robinson, Gabe Vincent In On Wednesday
Miami Heat guards Duncan Robinson (illness) and Gabe Vincent (toe) will both be active for Wednesday night's game against the Boston Celtics. Robinson caught a non-COVID illness and had previously been listed as questionable for the game, but apparently he's healthy enough to give things a go. Vincent, meanwhile, has been plagued by a right big toe contusion. He missed four straight games before returning to action on Monday and scoring five points over 20 minutes.

Tue Mar 29 202218:59Duncan Robinson Questionable For Wednesday
Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics. Robinson came down with a non-COVID illness on Tuesday. The 27-year-old is coming off of one of his better games of the month. He hit five three-pointers on eight attempts in Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings. If Robinson is unable to go on Wednesday, Max Strus and Gabe Vincent (toe) would be in line for extra work, though Vincent is questionable for the game himself.

Thu Mar 24 202220:53Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson Questionable For Friday’s Game
Miami Heat shooting guards Tyler Herro (knee) and Duncan Robinson (Achilles) have been deemed questionable to play in Friday's contest vs. the Knicks. Herro was held out Wednesday due to a sprained left knee, which funneled more minutes in the direction of Robinson and paved the way for Max Strus to see time with the second unit. Herro, a strong candidate for Sixth Man of the Year, has been on a scoring tear in March, averaging 24.3 PPG across 10 contests. The Heat have five contributing players tagged as questionable, so fantasy managers will want to check back prior to tip-off to get the final word on who will be available for what should be a defensive-minded matchup.

Mon Jan 17 202219:18Duncan Robinson Moves Into Starting Lineup
Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson will move into the starting five for Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors. Kyle Lowry (personal) will be unavailable for this contest, but hopefully it'll only be a one-game absence. His absence should mean more minutes for Robinson, Strus, and possibly Caleb Martin. Robinson is a shaky fantasy option due to his inconsistent shooting. He could be a possible streaming option due to the fact he's in the starting five. Although, Strus is the most consistent option between the two players. Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo will be asked to run the offense without Lowry available.

Wed Jan 5 202219:16Duncan Robinson Upgraded To Questionable
Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Robinson is currently in the league's health and safety protocols, but has a chance of clearing them on Wednesday. The Heat could certainly use his help with Jimmy Butler (ankle) ruled out. Otherwise, Tyler Herro and Max Strus could be looking at heavier workloads. Fantasy managers should check back closer to tip-off for an update on Robinson.

Fri Dec 31 202119:05Duncan Robinson Lands In COVID-19 Protocols
Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson has been placed in the league's health and safety protocols on Friday. That means, the Heat will be without Robinson for Friday's game against the Houston Rockets. Luckily, Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler are back, so the loss of Robinson isn't too significant. Caleb Martin has proven to be a capable option lately. He is worth a look as a streaming option right now.

Wed Dec 22 202108:00Duncan Robinson Matches Season High With 26 Points
Miami Heat guard/forward Duncan Robinson was in great form on Tuesday against the Pacers, matching his season high with 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting. He hit an outstanding 6-for-10 from deep and completed his line with one rebound, one assist and one turnover across 30 minutes of play. It would've been nice if Robinson had managed to add a bit more to his line, but he's had a pretty tough time all season, and even scoring has been problematic for the 27-year-old sniper. Robinson had combined for only 12 points across his last two games prior to Tuesday's action. Getting buckets in the next two matchups shouldn't be very hard, with the Heat hosting Detroit and Orlando, two teams that sit near the bottom of the league in defensive efficiency.

Tue Nov 23 202118:40Duncan Robinson, P.J. Tucker Available For Tuesday
Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson (knee) and forward P.J. Tucker (illness) will be available for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Robinson was battling a knee issue on Saturday, but appears fine for this contest. He has been struggling lately, but fantasy managers should stick with him. Tucker has been solid when he's on the floor, but isn't the best DFS on a nightly basis. Honestly, Tucker is a better option for category formats.

Fri Oct 8 202119:25Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro To Be Limited Friday
Miami Heat small forward Duncan Robinson and shooting guard Tyler Herro will see limited minutes in Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs, according to head coach Erik Spoelstra. The Heat played on Thursday night and Robinson and Herro were the team's two leading scorers, combining to hit nine threes and score 44 points. Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry and Bam Adebayo are resting for the game, so the Heat will be very short-handed. Some of the primary Heat players we'll see on the floor for Friday's game include Max Strus, Omer Yurtseven, D.J. Stewart Jr. and Javonte Smart.
