RHP Joan Gregorio was placed on the restricted list after he was suspended for the rest of the season for testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing drug. Gregorio was 4-4 with a 3.03 ERA in 13 starts with Triple-A Sacramento.

Gregorio was optioned to High-A San Jose on Tuesday, CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reports.

Gregorio is one of the few high-upside arms in the Giants' system, although he is at least a couple years away from the big leagues, assuming the Giants continue to deploy him as a starter.
