Thu May 28 201512:58Vaughn agreed to terms with Ravens on Thursday
Vaughn agreed to terms with the Ravens on Thursday, BaltimoreRavens.com reports.
The 27-year-old appeared in 13 games for the Lions last season, making five starts and finishing with 18 tackles five passes defended and two picks. The unrestricted free agent has also spent time with the Broncos and Colts since entering the league out of Ole Miss in 2010. He'll primarily provide depth in the secondary, competing for backup snaps with the likes of Rashaan Melvin, Tray Walker, Asa Jackson and Kyle Arrington, among others.
Mon Apr 7 201414:04Lions sign CB Cassius Vaughn
Lions signed CB Cassius Vaughn to a one-year contract.
The Lions worked him out on Monday and moved quickly to add him. We're not surprised Vaughn looked good in shorts -- he has 4.42 speed -- but he has struggled mightily whenever asked to cover receivers in the NFL. Vaughn is a better special teamer and returner. He'll vie for a roster spot with Detroit.

Free agent CB Cassius Vaughn is working out for the Lions Monday.
Vaughn started 15 games for the Colts over the last two seasons, often getting roasted in coverage. This is the first known interest the 26-year-old attracted since hitting the open market last month. The Lions continue to look for depth to add to their annually leaky secondary.

Mon Mar 18 201317:00Colts sign RFA corner Cassius Vaughn
Colts re-signed restricted free agent CB Cassius Vaughn to a one-year, $1.323 million contract.
Vaughn, still only 25, amassed 66 tackles and a three-yard pick six across 16 games last season, making 11 starts. He's been pushed down the depth chart by the signing of Greg Toler and re-signing of slot cornerback Darius Butler, but Vaughn should have every opportunity to win Indianapolis' dime back role. Vaughn also offers kick return value and made one 2012 tackle on special teams.

Fri Mar 8 201314:59Colts hand out two original-pick RFA tenders
The Colts' tender offers to restricted free agents CB Cassius Vaughn and OL Jeff Linkenbach are of the "original pick" variety.
Both Vaughn and Linkenbach are former undrafted free agents, meaning they could be signed away with no required draft-pick compensation under the $1.323 million tender. We wouldn't expect teams to pursue either player, anyway.

Thu Mar 7 201314:46Colts to tender many of their RFAs and ERFAs
The Colts will tender offers to restricted free agents CB Cassius Vaughn and OL Jeff Linkenbach.
Vaughn and Linkenbach combined to start 19 games for the Colts last season, but if Indianapolis is to take the next step, then both of them will be limited to backup roles in 2013. The Colts will also tender offers to exclusive rights free agents CB Josh Gordy, NT Martin Tevaseu, and OG Joe Reitz.

Fri Oct 5 201213:54Cassius Vaughn draws the start Week 5
Colts CB Cassius Vaughn will start in place of Vontae Davis (ankle) in Sunday's game against the Packers.
It's a bad time to be starting replacement-level talents. With both Davis and nickelback Justin King (groin) out, Vaughn will be starting across from Jerraud Powers. Aaron Rodgers will have no trouble shredding this secondary.

Wed May 23 201213:09Colts acquire CB Cassius Vaughn from Broncos
Colts acquired CB Cassius Vaughn from the Broncos in exchange for FB Chris Gronkowski.
An explosive kickoff return prospect who also chipped in a 55-yard pick six as largely a sub-package defensive back in Denver last year, Vaughn's 2011 season ended with a fractured left fibula in November. He's healthy now, and could push for significant snaps on a weak Indianapolis cornerback depth chart. Vaughn, 24, ran in the 4.3s at 5-foot-11, 195 at his Pro Day in 2010.

Mon Nov 28 201118:22Broncos place Cassius Vaughn on I.R.
Broncos placed CB Cassius Vaughn on injured reserve with a fractured fibula, ending his season.
Vaughn had not played on defense since getting smoked in coverage as Denver's early-season nickel and dime back. He also wasn't productive on special teams. Vaughn is signed for 2012, but will have to fight to make the roster.
