Wed Jul 25 2012 | 13:53 | Patriots do deal with DL Tim Bulman |
Patriots agreed to terms with DL Tim Bulman, formerly of the Texans. |
Bulman is a 3-4 defensive end who can rush from the interior on passing downs at 6-foot-4 and 281 pounds. He also plays special teams. In 10 games with Houston last year, the 29-year-old Bulman managed 12 tackles (6 solo). |

Texans re-signed DE Tim Bulman. |
Bulman isn't the greatest 3-4 schematic fit, but the Texans were awfully thin with only three true defensive ends on the 53-man roster. Bulman didn't play in the season opener and it figures to stay that way until injuries strike. |

Texans waived DE Tim Bulman. |
Undersized at 275 pounds, Bulman never seemed like a good bet to stick in Wade Phillips' 3-4 defense. He missed the 2010 season with a shoulder injury after playing 15 games as a rotational end in 2009. |

Fri Feb 25 2011 | 13:49 | Tim Bulman is medically cleared |
Free agent DE Tim Bulman has been medically cleared after missing the 2010 season with a serious shoulder injury. |
Bulman is focusing on gaining weight to play end in Houston's new 3-4 defense, although it's unclear if the Texans will want him back. If he can pack 290 or so pounds onto his 6-foot-4 frame, defensive coordinator Wade Phillips could view Bulman as a rotational piece. He's usually listed at 275. |

Mon Aug 16 2010 | 16:39 | Texans move Bulman to injured reserve |
Texans placed DL Tim Bulman (shoulder) on injured reserve, ending his season. |
They signed James Wyche to take up the open roster spot. A valuable rotational end-slash-tackle, Bulman will probably need surgery on the injury, which was reported to be significant. He'll be a free agent in 2011. |
Wed Aug 11 2010 | 12:43 | Bulman not expected back anytime soon |
Texans DL Tim Bulman, out with a shoulder injury, is not expected back any time soon. |
The Texans are working out a string of veteran free agents as potential replacements, so Bulman could find himself on injured reserve soon. The 27-year-old rotational end failed to record a sack in 2009. |
