Mon Oct 22 201216:46Diles, Bailey out indefinitely
Titans MLB Zac Diles (broken leg) and LB Patrick Bailey (broken ankle) are both likely out for the season after going down in Week 7.
Bailey is a core special teamer. Diles had taken over as Tennessee's starting middle linebacker during Colin McCarthy's recovery from a recurring high ankle sprain. McCarthy is expected to return in Week 8 against the Colts, so the Titans shouldn't feel Diles' loss other than from a depth perspective.

Sat Dec 3 201116:51Bucs waive veteran LB Zac Diles
Bucs waived LB Zac Diles.
Diles made 30 starts for the Texans between 2007 and 2010, but had been active for just seven games this season, making one tackle. Diles went through training camp with the Rams, but was cut in favor of Ben Leber, who was also waived today. Known as a run defender, it doesn't bode well for Diles' future that he was cut by a team with such a poor run defense. Still only 26, however, he has time to revive his career.

Diles was signed in July with the intention of being the Rams' starting weak-side linebacker, but apparently got outplayed by fellow free agent signing Ben Leber. Diles spent the previous four seasons in Houston, racking up 223 tackles, one sack and one interception. A physical run defender, he should be able to latch on somewhere else.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch confirms that Zac Diles is expected to be the Rams' starting weak-side linebacker.

Fri Jul 29 201116:16Rams do deal with LB Zac Diles
Rams agreed to terms with OLB Zac Diles on a one-year contract.
Diles has experience at all three linebacker positions, but he figures to slot in at one of the outside spots in St. Louis. A favorite of NFL Films guru Greg Cosell's, Diles is coming off probably his worst season as a pro, mostly due to injuries. He's still just 26, however, and should be plenty motivated on this one-year, "prove-it" deal. Cosell has described Diles as a "stacked" 4-3 linebacker "with toughness" who is "consistently around the ball."

Wed Jul 27 201116:03Rams, Seahawks, Bears pursuing Zac Diles
The Rams are reportedly showing interest in free agent OLB Zac Diles.
The Seahawks and Bears are also "in the mix." Diles was awful last year, at least in part because of bouts with dizziness and heart palpitations down the stretch. None of the above teams should consider paying him starter-caliber money.
