It's the right move. Rackers has been far more accurate throughout his career and Brown is now dealing with plantar fasciitis in his kicking foot. Rackers immediately becomes a viable fantasy starter thanks to the Texans' high-powered offense that allowed Brown 32 field-goal attempts last season.

Rackers has a stronger leg for touchback purposes and has been more accurate over the last two seasons, missing just four regular season field goal attempots compared to Brown's 14, including 11 last year alone. Neither is especially great in the clutch, but Rackers should be the favorite.

According to the New York Post, it "would be an upset" if the Jets didn't sign free agent K Neil Rackers during his Tuesday visit.

The Jets are expected to offer $1.5 million a year ($500,000 annually less than the Cardinals' proposal), but the league is running out of open kicker jobs. In New York, Rackers would be the heavy favorite to beat out Nick Folk.
