Despite a favorable matchup against a 32-ranked Atlanta pass defense, Austin's fantasy value is trending downward at the moment.

With Andrew Hawkins (knee/thigh) and TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) sidelined, Austin led the team in targets, followed by fellow wideouts Taylor Gabriel and Travis Benjamin, both of whom had five. The Browns attempted just 23 passes and gave a combined 48 carries to their three-headed backfield. Austin did well with his limited opportunities, but he still hasn't topped six receptions or 54 yards in a game this season. With Hawkins quite possibly back for next week, and Josh Gordon returning for Week 12, Austin will soon have a hard time matching the modest numbers he has recorded for most of the year.

These types of numbers are starting to look more and more like the ceiling for the 30-year-old wideout, who has been targeted in the red zone just three times this season. Until that number improves, expect mediocre production from Austin.

Austin hasn't caught more than three passes since Week 3, representing a major disappointment for fantasy owners that have still been hanging on to him. Andrew Hawkins led the team with seven catches (nine targets), 88 yards and a touchdown Sunday, and looks to have established himself as the top option in the passing game in the absence of Josh Gordon (suspension). Although Austin may see a few extra looks next week if Jordan Cameron (concussion) is forced to miss time, the veteran is still not a high-percentage fantasy play until he can prove otherwise.

Austin recorded his second highest target total of the season, but was unable to turn that into significant fantasy production. He's now been held out of the endzone for three straight weeks, and has yet to even come close to a 100-yard receiving performance this season. Although the 30-year-old wideout is No. 1 on the team's depth chart, he has yet to truly produce like a top target, and risks seeing reduced looks once Josh Gordon returns from suspension in a few weeks.

Austin has now recorded just two catches in back-to-back weeks, and he hasn't found the endzone since Week 3 against the Ravens. To be fair, Cleveland receivers as a whole didn't produce much on Sunday afternoon, as the team had the lead for the majority of the game and didn't need to resort heavily on the passing attack. Austin will look to bounce back next week in what should be a better matchup for all Browns' receivers. They'll head to Jacksonville to take on a Jaguars' team that was dead last in the league in passing yards allowed per game heading into Week 6.

Despite scoring in back-to-back contests prior to Sunday, Austin matched a season-low in targets and receptions in the road matchup following the team's bye week. Although he remains one of the Browns' top receiving targets in theory, the inconsistency can make him a tough fantasy option to rely on. He'll look to bounce back in next week's rematch with the Steelers.
