Acquired from the Cowboys last September for a late-round pick in this year's draft, McQuistan was a liability in eight spot starts at right guard and right tackle. He's versatile, but won't generate serious offers for starting jobs this spring.

Dolphins acquired OL Pat McQuistan from the Cowboys in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.
Dallas must be confident in the full returns of Marc Colombo (knee) and Kyle Kosier (MCL sprain). McQuistan will be reunited with Tony Sparano and Bill Parcells in Miami, where they've also collected former Cowboys linemen Joe Berger and Cory Proctor. He'll add depth at tackle while Proctor backs up at guard.

Cowboys re-signed restricted free agent OL Pat McQuistan to a one-year, $1.176 million contract.
McQuistan, 27, has made 40 appearances but zero starts since being drafted in the 2006 seventh round out of Weber State. He's at least outplayed his brother Paul, a second-round reach by Oakland (who else) in the same draft.
