Tue Oct 13 201513:37Webb suffered thigh injury during Sunday's loss to Browns
Webb suffered a thigh injury during Sunday's loss to the Browns, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Webb was announced as probable to return, and while he was seen with his helmet on the sidelines, he never actually made it back into the game. If he's not available for Week 6 against the 49ers, the Ravens will likely need Kyle Arrington to play an every-down role.

Webb (hamstring) was not on the Ravens'participation/injury report Wednesday, the team's official site reports.
The oft-injured cornerback's status for the beginning of the regular season had been a concern in the latter half of the preseason after he suffered the injury, but the veteran appears ready to take the field against the Broncos in the opener barring any setbacks. Webb saw his effectiveness diminished in 2014 due to a hip injury that he battled throughout most of the campaign, but still contributed 46 tackles (36 solo), eight passes defensed and one interception over 13 games. The seven-year pro is expected to start opposite Jimmy Smith and will likely play a vital role against the powerful Denver passing attack if he is on the field on Sunday.

Ravens defensive coordinator Deen Pees is worried about Webb (hamstring) missing time, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.
One of the league's better cornerbacks at the high point of his career, the 29-year-old Webb has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons, limiting both his playing time and effectiveness. He's still expected to start at left cornerback when healthy, but the Ravens may need to turn to Rashaan Melvin (hamstring) for Week 1. Even though opposing quarterbacks will probably try to avoid him, Jimmy Smith is the closest thing Baltimore has to a decent IDP option at cornerback.
Tue Mar 17 201516:50Webb has agreed to restructure contract
Webb has agreed to restructure his contract, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Webb struggled in 2014 while battling a hip injury, but he did show signs of improvement late in the season, and his contract all but ensures that he'll spend the next few years in Baltimore. The Ravens likely converted some of Webb's 2015 base salary to a signing bonus, giving the team more room to work with this offseason. Webb and Jimmy Smith (foot) will enter training camp as the locked-in starters on the outside, but Baltimore's slot corner position seems to be up for grabs. It was a huge issue for the Ravens last season, and it's particularly worrisome when you account for the respective injury histories of Webb and Smith. Baltimore will likely add cornerback help through the draft or later stages of free agency.

Webb had four tackles (three solo) and three passes defensed in Sunday's 43-23 loss to the Steelers.
Make no mistake, this was the stat line of a struggling cornerback that was picked on even with his running mate sidelined. It's one thing for Webb to face constant pressure when Jimmy Smith (foot) is playing, but it's not a good sign for the veteran corner that the Steelers frequently chose to attack him over his no-name position mates. While largely ineffective this season, Webb has been decent form an IDP standpoint, with 23 tackles (18 solo) and six passes defensed in five games since he rejoined the team in Week 5. The Ravens don't really have any options to replace Webb, so his starting job is safe, despite some poor showings.

Webb had six tackles (five solo) and one pass defensed in Sunday's 29-7 win over the Broncos.
Working as an every-down player for the second straight week, Webb held his own against the dangerous duo of Julio Jones and Roddy White, with a major assist from the excellent Baltimore pass rush. While he still doesn't look like the Pro Bowl-caliber corner from past seasons, Webb may put his name back into the IDP conversation, as opposing quarterbacks seemingly prefer to attack him over fellow Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith.

Webb had three tackles (all solo) in Sunday's 48-17 win over the Buccaneers.
Finally back as an every-down player, Webb held up quite well in coverage, though he didn't do much from a statistical perspective. He did appear to injure himself at one point during the first half, but he returned to the game without any further issues. He'll have his hands full next week against Atlanta's Julio Jones and Roddy White.
Thu Oct 9 201415:58Webb expected to return to starting role
With fellow cornerback Asa Jackson (toe) placed on injured reserve/designated to return, Webb is expected to return to his starting role, the Ravens' official website reports.
Webb, who has been slow to recover from a back injury, played four snaps in Week 3 and about half the defensive snaps in Week 5. He didn't play in Weeks 1,2 and 4, though the team insisted all along that Webb was merely working his way back into game shape. After getting picked on last week, Webb will likely be tested on a regular basis over the next few games, as fellow starting cornerback Jimmy Smith has been one of the team's more reliable players this season.

Webb had six tackles (all solo) and two pass defenses in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Colts.
Webb had a nice stat line in his first real action of the season, but he only played 45-of-85 defensive snaps, and was picked on repeatedly by Andrew Luck. He split time at left cornerback with Asa Jackson, as the Ravens relied on their reserve safeties in the nickel. Webb could still see his role increase over the next few weeks, but he didn't look like his usual self Sunday.
Sun Oct 5 201412:40Webb (back) active for Sunday's game against Colts
Webb (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Webb's lingering back injury has limited him to just four snaps this season, but after a strong week of practice he'll be available to help Baltimore attempt to slow Andrew Luck.

The Ravens are not ruling out the possibility of having Webb (back) in the fold against the Colts on Sunday, the Baltimore Sun reports.
He played just four snaps in Week 3 before returning to the inactive list for Sunday's win over the Panthers. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that he won't let anybody know the plan for Webb prior to Sunday, which makes his workload throughout the practice week important, even though he will be a game-time decision.
Sun Sep 28 201411:59Webb (back) inactive for Sunday's game against Panthers
Webb (back) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers, The Baltimore Sun reports.
Webb has been slowed by a back injury throughout this season, as his only appearance to date came during the first-half of last Sunday's game. Although Webb is considered healthy and reportedly hasn't suffered any setbacks, the veteran cornerback still needs to regain strength, flexibility, and mobility before he's able to play full-speed. As a result, Webb will not play Sunday against the Panthers, once again leaving Asa Jackson to start opposite Jimmy Smith (knee) at cornerback for the Ravens.

Webb (back) played just four snaps in his season debut Sunday against the Browns
After three straight weeks of full practice participation, Webb was finally activated for a game, but only as the third cornerback. According to The Baltimore Sun, Webb was then pulled from that role after looking slow in the first half. It isn't exactly clear what's going on here, as Webb and the team insist that the cornerback is healthy, yet his recovery has dragged on, and he still seems far from 100 percent. The Ravens secondary could badly use the help of its longtime top corner, but Asa Jackson may get another start over Webb in Week 4.
Sun Sep 21 201411:44Webb (back) active for Sunday's game against Browns
Webb (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Webb has been a full participant in practice, and he will make his season-debut Sunday. His back started bothering him at the end of July and while he has not played since then, he's good to go now.
Fri Sep 19 201416:22Webb (back) probable for Sunday's game in Cleveland
Webb (back) is probable for Sunday's game in Cleveland, the Ravens' official website reports.
After three weeks of full practice participation, Webb finally seems ready to make his 2014 debut. He'll presumably start across from Jimmy Smith, and it won't be surprising if Browns QB Brian Hoyer tries to test Webb early and often.

Webb (back) was a full participant in practice both Wednesday and Thursday, the Ravens' official website reports.
Now practicing in full for a third straight week, Webb may finally get the go-ahead to play. However, as noted by ESPN's Jamison Hensley, it remains difficult to get a good read on the cornerback's status. What was initially described as a minor injury has now been an ongoing issue for two months. The Ravens seem to think that Webb just isn't quite ready for games after missing training camp and the preseason, but it may be the case that his back is still bothering him.
Thu Sep 11 201419:15Webb (lower back injury) won't play Thursday against Steelers
Webb (lower back injury) won't play Thursday against the Steelers, the Baltimore Sun reports.
We'll revisit Webb's status in advance of Week 3's contest against the Browns, with the extra rest provided by the team's current short week working in Webb's favor on that front.

Webb (lower back) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Steelers, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Webb practiced fully this week, which would appear to bode well for his Week 2 status, but the questionable designation suggests that the Ravens could still consider holding the cornerback out Thursday, with an eye toward prepping him for the team's Week 3 tilt, on Sept. 21.
Tue Sep 9 201419:22Webb (back) full practice participant for second day in row Tues...
Webb (back) was a full practice participant for the second day in a row Tuesday.
Webb was also a full practice participant throughout last week, but then didn't play in Sunday's game against the Bengals. The Ravens indicated that while Webb hasn't suffered any setbacks, he's not quite game-ready after missing nearly all of training camp and the preseason. Webb seems like a decent bet to return for Thursday's game against Pittsburgh, but if he doesn't, Chykie Brown will likely get another start at left cornerback.
Sun Sep 7 201411:53Webb (back) inactive for Sunday's season opener against Bengals
Webb (back) is inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Bengals.
Webb tested out his ailing lower back early Sunday morning and looked to be moving around better than he had earlier in the week, but because of his limited involvement in the preseason, the team will give him Week 1 off to continue recovering. The Ravens emphasized that Webb hasn't been experiencing any setbacks with his injury and is feeling pain-free, so there would seem to be decent odds that he'll be available next week. Look for Asa Jackson to pick up the start at cornerback in place of Webb.
