Chargers re-signed KR/WR Richard Goodman to a one-year, $630,000 contract.
Not an offensive threat, 26-year-old Goodman is a core special teamer in San Diego. He runs downfield on punt and kickoff coverage, and Goodman's 27.6 kick return average over the past two seasons is the league's fourth-best mark.

Chargers WR/KR Richard Goodman sustained a concussion in the Chargers' Week 1 win over the Raiders.
Goodman picked up 76 yards on three kickoff returns before leaving. He ranked fourth in the league in kickoff return average last season, behind only Joe McKnight, Randall Cobb and Ted Ginn.

Chargers tendered exclusive rights free agent WR/KR Richard Goodman and LS Mike Windt.
Both will receive $540,000 salaries in 2012 and be eligible for restricted free agency in 2013. Goodman, essentially a younger version of Kassim Osgood, didn't catch a pass last season but averaged a robust 27.5 yards per kick return, including a 105-yard touchdown. He also made five special teams tackles.

Chargers waived WR Richard Goodman to make room for SS Steve Gregory (suspension).
Goodman served primarily on special teams, and wasn't ever on the fantasy radar. Considering San Diego is paper-thin at wideout after the rash of injuries to their receiving corps, it's a bit surprising that the Bolts would remove yet another wide receiver from their roster.

Chargers WR Richard Goodman (fingers) returned to practice Thursday.
Goodman dislocated his right ring finger and split the webbing between fingers in Wednesday's practice. He's expected to play Sunday, but only in a special teams role. Patrick Crayton and Buster Davis will do the heavy lifting at wide receiver.

Chargers WR Richard Goodman dislocated his right ring finger and split the webbing between fingers in practice Wednesday.
It's not clear if this might keep him out in Week 8. The Chargers are really banged up at receiver, though they're expected to get Legedu Naanee back this week. Goodman caught his first career pass in Week 7 but then proceeded to fumble.

The Chargers are expected to sign WR Richard Goodman off the practice squad.
Goodman will join LT Marcus McNeill on the team's active roster, replacing S C.J. Spillman and CB Fred Bennett, both of whom were cut today. Goodman is expected to see time on special teams.
