Wed Feb 26 201413:49Eagles LT Jason Peters had finger surgery
Eagles LT Jason Peters underwent finger surgery following the season.
Peters skipped the Pro Bowl because he needed to repair a finger fracture/dislocation, per his agent. The 32-year-old played with the injury for much of the season but just taped his fingers up. He also battled shoulder, quad and pectoral issues in 2013, but didn't miss a start. With a new five-year, $51.3 million contract in hand, Peters will be full-go for the offseason program.

Sat Jan 25 201418:53Jason Peters could receive contract extension
The Philadelphia Inquirer expects the Eagles to consider signing LT Jason Peters to a contract extension this offseason.
Peters is currently set to make $9.65 million in 2014, the final year of his contract. He was able to stay healthy for all 16 games this season and graded out as the No. 4 left tackle by Pro Football Focus. Already the highest paid offensive lineman in the league, Peters is set up for one last big contract. He could command a deal similar to the $15 million guaranteed Ryan Clady received from the Broncos last offseason.

Sun Nov 17 201311:23Peters in, Fletcher and Kendricks out for PHL
Jason Peters (quad) is active for Sunday's Week 11 game against the Redskins.
Peters got just one day of practice in this week, but the former All-Pro is ready to protect Nick Foles' blind side. However, they'll be without top corner Bradley Fletcher (pectoral) and speed linebacker Mychal Kendricks (knee), leaving Roc Carmichael and Najee Goode to start. With the weather in Philly fine, it's a good spot for the Redskins passing game. The rest of the Eagles inactives: QB Michael Vick, WR Damaris Johnson, S Earl Wolff, LB Jake Knott and T Dennis Kelly.

Wed Nov 13 201311:01Jason Peters still not practicing
Jason Peters (quad) remained out of practice Wednesday.
At this point, it would be a surprise if the Eagles had their starting left tackle for Sunday's game against the Redskins. They're preparing journeyman Allen Barbre to start. Peters hasn't returned his his All-Pro form since his Achilles' tear, but he'd still be a major loss. The former Bill is ProFootballFocus' No. 22 tackle among 76 qualifiers so far this season.

Peters was forced from Sunday's game late in the third quarter with a pectoral injury, and did not return. His exact level of participation isn't yet available, but the fact that he was able to practice is a good sign. Barring a setback, Peters should play in Week 10 against the Packers.

Tue Oct 15 201309:23Jason Peters will practice in full Wednesday
Eagles LT Jason Peters (shoulder) will practice in full Wednesday.
Peters briefly left Sunday's win at Tampa with a shoulder issue, but was able to finish out the game. He's not playing at the All-Pro level he was prior to his two Achilles' tendon tears, but he is a big reason the Eagles have the league's best run-blocking unit.

Thu Aug 22 201308:56Jason Peters finally ready to play
Jason Peters will play in Saturday's preseason game, his first game action since the 2011 season.
Peterson has battled back from two right Achilles' tendon ruptures. Even if he's 80 percent of what he was, it's huge for the Eagles. In 2011, Peters graded out as ProFootballFocus' best tackle by a wide margin and was named a first-team All-Pro. An offensive line of Peters, Evan Mathis, Jason Kelce, Todd Herremans and rookie Lane Johnson has a chance to be one of the league's best. It's great news for the chances of Michael Vick staying upright this season.

Wed Jun 12 201321:53Eagles LT Peters arrested
Eagles LT Jason Peters was arrested on Wednesday for drag racing and resisting a police officer by flight.
Peters and another sedan were caught drag racing at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday morning. When the police attempted to stop them, the sedan pulled over but Peters tried to flee. The report states Peters hit speeds in excess of 100 mph as he attempted to escape, but was unsuccessful. The arrest will surely be a headache for Peters off the field, but shouldn't cause him to miss any time on it.

Thu Jun 6 201308:52Jason Peters insists he's completely healthy
Eagles LT Jason Peters (Achilles') said he if doesn't return to form, he'll retire.
It's a little bit of hyperbole from Peters, but he wanted to make the point that he feels 100 percent despite tearing his Achilles' tendon twice in the last year. Before going down, he was arguably the best left tackle in the league. "It looks like he has never been through an Achilles injury to me," teammate Evan Mathis said. "He was at his true form. If you know football at all, you would see that yourself. He looks great. He looks phenomenal." The Eagles' offensive line is bubbling with athletic talent.

Eagles LT Jason Peters did not show up for Tuesday's "voluntary" OTA practice.
The Eagles made no excuse for Peters' absence. "He's just not here," a team spokesman said. Peters also missed last Monday's workout due to travel delays. As long as there's nothing wrong with Peters' Achilles' tendon, the Eagles won't be too upset.
