Vick completed 13-of-26 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and rushed once for 24 yards in Monday night's win over the Chargers.

Vick's passing totals were largely boosted by his 72-yard touchdown pass to Markus Wheaton during the fourth quarter, when the veteran also led the Steelers on a late game-winning drive. While Vick should be commended for his late-game contributions, the first three quarters of Monday night's game evidenced his inexperience in Pittsburgh's offense, as most his passes were check downs to underneath receivers. Vick's only interception came on a hail mary to end the first half, so to his credit, he managed to take care of the ball even despite his limitations elsewhere. If starter Ben Roethlisberger (knee) remains sidelined going forward, Vick figures to continue to fill in at quarterback in Week 6 against a playmaking Cardinals defense.

Vick completed 19 of 26 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown, adding nine carries for 33 yards, in Thursday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Ravens.

Vick completed 73 percent of his passes and didn't turn the ball over, but it was still an ugly performance. He was largely responsible for at least two of his sacks, and he missed some very simple throws, including one on fourth down in overtime that didn't look like it could have come from an NFL quarterback. To be fair, Vick should've had a 36-yard touchdown pass earlier in the game, but Antonio Brown uncharacteristically dropped a sliding grab. As will likely be the case until Ben Roethlisberger (knee) returns, the Pittsburgh offense was incredibly reliant on Le'Veon Bell, who had 150 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 29 touches (seven receptions). Even with an excellent supporting cast and decent matchup, Vick will be tough to trust in a Week 5 road game against the Chargers. Given San Diego's early struggles against the run, Bell should be in for another busy night.

Vick completed 5-of-6 passes for 38 yards after coming on for Ben Roethlisberger in the third quarter Sunday against the Rams when he was knocked out with a knee injury.

Roethlisberger had to be carted off the field and there is a big concern that he could miss a number of weeks due to the injury. If that's the case, Vick will be the starter for at least Week 4, which unfortunately for the Steelers will come Thursday against the Ravens. Vick still has plenty of weapons around him, namely receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le'Veon Bell, and he could get wideout Martavis Bryant back in Week 5, making him an decent fantasy option in most formats.

Vick will play in Pittsburgh's third preseason game against the Bills, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Vick figures to see a solid chunk of playing time as the Steelers evaluate their newest acquisition. He should be the second quarterback out there, and it will be telling how Pittsburgh operates its playcalling with a player so different in skillset from starter Ben Roethlisberger.

Vick signed a one-year contract with the Steelers on Tuesday, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

With Bruce Gradkowski (dislocated finger) landing on injured reserve, Vick will provide the Steelers with a veteran option behind Ben Roethlisberger. The 35-year-old Vick isn't quite as dynamic these days and barely completed over 50 percent of his passes with the Jets last season, but his greater body of NFL experience probably makes him a more reliable insurance at quarterback than Landry Jones.

Bruce Gradkowski, who is competing with Landry Jones to serve as the Steelers' backup quarterback, needs surgery on a dislocated finger on his non-throwing hand. Pittsburgh doesn't seem like a particularly good fit for Vick, who completed just 52.9 percent of his passes for the Jets last season. At this point in the preseason, Pittsburgh would probably be better off sticking with Landry Jones as the backup, if Gradkowski isn't ready by Week 1.

Head coach Rex Ryan said Friday that he "anticipates" Geno Smith will be the Jets' starting quarterback for the final five games of the season, with Vick as the backup, the New York Daily News' Manish Mehta reports.

Mehta's sources with the team indicate that the coaching staff would rather go with Vick, but the Jets' front office brass wants to further evaluate Smith over the final month of the season. Assuming Smith stays healthy, Vick will have little value in most leagues the rest of the way.

Poor play and injuries may both factor into the decision, as Vick underwent X-rays for an undisclosed issue, after completing just 7-of-19 passes for 76 yards in Monday's game, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. Vick was removed in favor of Geno Smith midway through the third quarter, following an interception that allowed the Bills to take a 31-3 lead. Smith fared a bit better than Vick in garbage time, completing 10-of-12 passes for 89 yards, albeit with zero points on four drives. Regardless of which player is under center, the New York passing game will likely struggle in a difficult Week 13 matchup with the Dolphins.

Vick (foot) completed 10-of-18 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's upset victory over Pittsburgh. He also scrambled eight times for 39 yards.

Vick took four sacks but didn't turn the ball over, a performance the Jets will gladly accept. He'll be challenged next week at Buffalo.
