Mon Mar 3 201414:24Lions release G/C Leroy Harris
Lions released G/C Leroy Harris.
Harris was owed a $1.85 million base salary in addition to an offseason roster bonus of $100,000. He only played on special teams in 2013 with Detroit, as the Lions' O-Line stayed healthy. Harris is only 30 years old and has versatility, so he should draw some interest as an interior reserve elsewhere.

Mon Jun 3 201310:04Lions agree to terms with OG Leroy Harris
Lions agreed to terms with OG Leroy Harris, formerly of the Titans.
Coming off a sub-par season that was cut short by a partially torn ACL, Harris will compete with third-rounder Larry Warford at right guard. Harris has 42 games of starting experience, but Warford should have the edge. Harris is likely just veteran depth for a team that previously had just journeyman Dylan Gandy and 2012 practice-squader Rodney Austin behind Warford.

Thu May 23 201309:39Leroy Harris works out for Lions
Free agent G Leroy Harris worked out for the Lions Wednesday.
Despite starting 31 games over the last two seasons, the 28-year-old Harris is scurrying for a backup job. Rookie Larry Warford and Rob Sims are penciled in as the Lions' starting guards.

Sun Feb 17 201309:29Titans to entertain idea of re-signing Harris
The Nashville Tennessean expects the Titans to approach free agent RG Leroy Harris about a one-year deal.
Harris started eight games at right guard this past season before tearing his ACL and landing on injured reserve. In the two previous years, Harris started 31 of a possible 32 games at left guard. His work as a pass blocker has been spotty, and the Tennessean can't see Harris coming back as a starter as the team tries to renovate the interior of the line.

Tue Nov 6 201218:17Titans will end RG Leroy Harris' season
Titans will place RG Leroy Harris (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Harris will undergo surgery to repair a partially torn ACL after getting a second opinion on Tuesday. A free agent in 2013, Harris has an uncertain future in Nashville. His pass-blocking left a lot to be desired in the first half of the season. Kevin Matthews is expected to take over as the starter.

Mon Nov 5 201216:01Leroy Harris has partially torn ACL
Titans RG Leroy Harris revealed Monday that he has a partially torn ACL.
The Tennessee medical team is hoping Harris' ACL will heal with rest and rehab, and that he'll be able to return later in the season. If the healing doesn't go smoothly, he may require a knee reconstruction. Kevin Matthews got the right guard nod in Week 9 against the Bears and will continue to start.

Wed Oct 31 201216:34Munchak says Harris should return in 2012
Titans coach Mike Munchak believes RG Leroy Harris should be able to play at some point this season.
While the team initially feared the worst, the injury doesn't sound like it will be season ending. Kevin Matthews will get the start at RG for the Titans while Harris is sidelined.

Mon Oct 29 201216:38Leroy Harris avoids season-ending injury
After a Monday MRI, the Titans do not believe RG Leroy Harris' knee injury is season ending.
Coach Mike Munchak declined to provide a firm timeline. Harris "felt like his knee gave out" on the first-quarter injury against the Colts, and he did not return. OL coach Bruce Matthews' son, Kevin, will start in the interim.

Titans RG Leroy Harris was knocked out of Sunday's game versus the Colts in the first half with a knee injury.
"We don't know how Leroy's knee is," coach Mike Munchak said. "His leg got tangled up, I think. Hopefully, it's not bad." Harris will go for an MRI on Monday. Kevin Matthews replaced him for the final three quarters.

Tue Jun 19 201214:26Titans OG Harris cleared for contact
Titans OG Leroy Harris (knee, shoulder surgeries) has been cleared for contact.
Harris re-joined teammates for Tuesday's practice. Expected to move from left to right guard this season, Harris should have a lock on the starting job after the Titans failed to bring in veteran competition. He remains a weakness in the running game.

Wed Apr 4 201213:07Titans moving Leroy Harris to right guard
The Titans plan to move Leroy Harris from left to right guard in 2012.
Newly acquired Steve Hutchinson will be the left guard, where he's played his entire career. Harris, 28 in June, is coming off knee and shoulder scopes, but should be 100 percent by training camp. Harris took a step forward last season, but struggled as a run blocker. He'll need to iron that out in order to be an effective right guard, where effective run blocking is required.

Thu Feb 23 201212:01Leroy Harris recovering from two surgeries
Titans LG Leroy Harris is recovering from knee and shoulder scopes.
According to coach Mike Munchak, Harris will be "fine." It's possible Harris won't be ready for OTAs, but he should be 100 percent well before training camp. Coming off a disappointing 2010, Harris started all 16 games for the Titans last season. He graded out as the league's sixth-best guard in Pro Football Focus' year-end rankings.

Sat Jul 30 201117:39Titans re-sign LG Harris to two-year deal
Titans re-signed LG Leroy Harris to a two-year contract.
Harris is a favorite of coach Mike Munchak, but he was a bust as the team's starting left guard last season. Munchak will continue to focus on coaching up a player he believes has potential, but clearly hasn't fulfilled it. If Munchak can get better play from Harris and C Eugene Amano, Chris Johnson's life would be much easier. The tackles are good to go, at least.

Tue Jul 26 201115:20Titans reach out to free agent G Leroy Harris
The Titans have reached out to free agent LG Leroy Harris in hopes of re-signing him.
"Other teams are in the mix as well," reports Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. The Titans like Harris' potential, but he was a problem -- not a solution -- in the team's run blocking woes last year. They just don't have a better alternative.

Wed Jul 6 201112:25Titans expected to re-sign Leroy Harris
According to ESPN's Paul Kuharsky, "all indications are" that the Titans will re-sign free agent LG Leroy Harris.
Harris was a huge disappointment in his first season as a starter, but the Titans remain high on his potential. Tennessee should still be careful to not overpay. Harris was a big part of the problem in the team's steep run-blocking decline, and that isn't a great sign considering it was his contract year.

Wed Mar 2 201116:54Titans tender Leroy Harris after poor year
The Titans have extended LG Leroy Harris a second-round restricted free agent tender.
The Titans talked up Harris as the next great guard in Tennessee/Houston franchise history during 2010 training camp, but his on-field performance left much to be desired. Pro Football Focus graded Harris as the No. 79 guard out of 82 with enough playing time to qualify, and the second-round tender doesn't indicate the Titans were pleased, either. The 27-year-old is still likely to be an unrestricted free agent as a four-year vet.

Sun Feb 27 201108:26Titans expected to tender offers to four RFAs
The Titans are expected to use a restricted free agent tender on LG Leroy Harris by Friday at the latest.
He's one of at least four potential free agents the Titans are expected to tender an offer to, with the others being DE Jacob Ford, FB Ahmard Hall and LB Stephen Tulloch. It remains unknown if the tags will end up being binding under the new CBA.

Sun Oct 10 201015:04Titans Jacob Ford active, Harris ruled out
Titans declared LG Leroy Harris, third QB Rusty Smith, WR Justin Gage, T Mike Otto, DT Sen'Derrick Marks, LB Rennie Curran, CB Jason McCourty, and S Robert Johnson inactive for Sunday's Week 5 game against the Cowboys.
McCourty and Gage were ruled out earlier this week. Harris did not practice all week with an ankle injury, and will likely be replaced by Fernando Velasco. DE Jacob Ford is active after missing the last two weeks.
Tue Aug 10 201017:49Leroy Harris getting rave reviews
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Titans first-year LG Leroy Harris is "drawing comparisons to some of the top offensive linemen in franchise history."
Schefter was at Titans camp Tuesday and is passing along buzz from Nashville. The Titans have only been around since 1999, so it's unclear if this includes Houston Oiler greats Bruce Matthews and Mike Munchak. Either way, Harris has been a quick study and could be an instant force on the interior.
