Amendola caught 2-of-3 targets for six yards in Sunday's 30-6 win at Dallas.
It could have been a much bigger game for Amendola, who had two long receptions wiped out by penalty. Aaron Dobson was a healthy scratch Sunday, so it appears as though Amendola is locked in as New England's starting wideout opposite Julian Edelman, at least until Brandon LaFell (foot) is activated from the team's PUP list, which could happen as early as Week 7. Next week, the Patriots will play at Indianapolis.

Amendola, who was on the field for 54-of-81 snaps on offense in Sunday's 51-17 win over the Jaguars, per ESPN's Mike Reiss, caught all five of his targets for 39 yards and a TD in the process.
As the Patriots head into their Week 4 bye, Amendola has compiled a total of eight catches for 92 yards and a TD through three games, numbers that place him on the fantasy fringe in PPR formats.

Amendola was on the field for 36 of the Patriots' 86 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Bills, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports. Amendola made one catch in the game, a leaping grab that went for 29 yards.
With Julian Edelman and Aaron Dobson seeing the bulk of the work in the Patriots' two-wideout sets Sunday, Amendola operated as the team's No. 3 wideout in Week 2, an assignment that makes him a hit-or-miss fantasy option as long as Edelman remains healthy.

Amendola caught two passes for 24 yards on three targets in Thursday's 28-21 win over the Steelers.
With Brandon LaFell (foot) out for at least the first six games, Amendola has a nice opportunity to get some extra snaps and targets. However, he wasn't a big part of the offense Thursday night, as Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski accounted for 20 of the 32 targets, with Dion Lewis getting five. Edelman did get some of the snaps in two-wide formations, suggesting that brighter days could be ahead. According to Nathan Jahnke of Pro Football Focus, Amendola played 33 offensive snaps, compared to 48 for Julian Edelman and 30 for Aaron Dobson. The Patriots face an excellent Buffalo defense in Week 2, but the tough matchup could lead to a pass-heavy attack.
Sat Sep 5 201517:18Amendola's teammate
Amendola's teammate, Brandon LaFell, was placed on the regular-season PUP list Saturday, ESPN's Field Yates reports.
Not only is LaFell ineligible for the first six games, but also Reggie Wayne was released. The Patriots are left very thin at wide receiver, with Amendola and Aaron Dobson the leading candidates to benefit. Of course, the Patriots will undoubtedly be vigilant in trying to improve their wideout corps in the coming days, be it through a trade or the free-agent pool.

Amendola caught one pass for 25 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Panthers.
Amendola was on the field for 18 of 59 of the team's snaps on offense Friday, while the likes of Aaron Dobson and Chris Harper saw added opportunities in the contest. The health of Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell would appear to key Amendola's fantasy prospects early on, with LaFell's status looking cloudier by the day. If LaFell is forced to miss time early on, Amendola could see added looks in the Pats' offense, with Dobson and newcomer Reggie Wayne also candidates for expanded opportunities. Overall though, Amendola's clearest path to regular season fantasy utility is any sort sort of Edelman absence.

Amendola was on the field for just 7-of-63 of the Patriots' snaps on offense in Thursday's preseason opener against the Packers, ESPN.com reports.
Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell, the Patriots' top two wideouts, sat out the contest entirely, while most of the team's WR snaps went to players jostling for depth slotting. Amendola checks in as the team's No. 3 option at the position, an assignment that carries hit-or-miss fantasy value, but one that puts him an injury away from weekly utility.
Thu Mar 12 201513:40Amendola has agreed to restructured deal with Patriots
Amendola has agreed to a restructured deal with the Patriots, ESPN.com reports.
Per the report, Amendola's new deal with the Pats is for three years and worth $12.75 million. Amendola, who caught 27 passes for 200 yards and a TD in 16 games this past season, is thus in line to reprise his role as the team's No. 3 wideout behind Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell. Though Amendola's regular season was largely uneventful, he recorded 11 catches for 137 yards and three TDs in three postseason contests. While his fantasy upside remains modest as the coming season approaches, Amendola would presumably be a candidate for added targets in the event of an injury to either Edelman or LaFell.

Amendola caught 5-of-7 targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-24 Super Bowl win over the Seahawks.
After posting a modest 27-200-1 receiving line on 44 targets in 16 regular-season games, Amendola surprisingly played a huge role in New England's run to the Super Bowl. It helped that the team went pass-heavy in games against the Seahawks and Ravens, as Amendola typically only sees the field in three and four-wide sets. A few weeks ago, he looked like a strong candidate to be released this offseason, but that now seems somewhat less likely, though not out of the question. The Patriots can save $2.1 million against the 2015 cap by cutting Amendola before June 1, or they can save $4.5 million by designating him as a post-June 1 cut, according to overthecap.com. If Amendola returns, he'll presumably do so as the No. 3 wide receiver, behind Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell.

Amendola had five catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 35-31 playoff win over the Ravens.
After a quiet season, Amendola exploded when the Patriots needed him most, tying the game with a 15-yard score in the second quarter and pulling the game to another tie late in the third with a trick play touchdown reception from Julian Edelman. Amendola and the Patriots will host either the Broncos or Colts next weekend.

Amendola caught four passes for 24 yards on a team-high seven targets in Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Bills.
With Julian Edelman out for the second game in a row, Amendola continued to see extra snaps on Sunday. Once the playoffs start, however, Amendola figures to once again serve as the Patriots' No. 3 wideout behind Edelman and Brandon LaFell.

Amendola caught eight passes for 63 yards on 11 targets in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Jets.
Amendola filled the void created by the absence of Julian Edelman (concussion) on Sunday, with his Week 17 prospects directly tied to Edelman's availability next weekend.

With Julian Edelman ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, Amendola is a candidate to see added looks in the Patriots' Week 16 offense, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
With Edelman out, the report also suggests that fellow wideout Brian Tyms and tight end Tim Wright could see added looks Sunday, but for those scrambling to replace Edelman, Amendola -- who has been serving as the Patriots' No. 3 WR -- looks like the player to target.

Amendola was on the field for 12-of-64 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Dolphins, ESPN.com reports.
Amendola, who caught one pass for 11 yards in the game, continues to slot behind Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell in the Patriots' wideout pecking order, which limits his fantasy upside.

Amendola was on the field for 18-of-76 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Chargers, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
Amendola wound up with three catches for seven yards in the game, as he continues to slot in behind Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell in the Patriots' wideout pecking order.

Amendola was on the field for a season-low 12 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Packers, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
For the second straight game, he did not record a catch, and as long as both Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell are healthy enough to play, Amendola is off the fantasy radar.

Amendola was on the field for 15-of-81 snaps on offense in Sunday's 34-9 win over the Lions, ESPN.com reports.
Amendola did not catch a pass in the contest, though he did contribute an 81-yard kickoff return that set up a touchdown in the second quarter. The 15 snaps were a season-low for Amendola, with the team using plenty of two-TE sets on Sunday. In any case, Amendola remains decidedly behind Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell in the Patriots' wideout pecking order.

Amendola was on the field for 23-of-73 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over the Colts.
Amendola caught a pair of passes for 13yards in the contest, his third straight two-catch effort, while serving as the Patriots' No. 3 wideout behind Brandon LaFell and Julian Edelman.

Amendola was on the field for 46-of-86 snaps on offense in Sunday's 43-21 win over the Broncos, ESPN.com reports.
Amendola's Week 9 snap count was his second-highest total of the season, though he was still behind Julian Edelman (78) and Brandon LaFell (77) in that regard, while catching two of three targets for 35 yards on Sunday. Heading into the Patriots' Week 10 bye, Amendola has recorded just nine catches for 82 yards with a TD in nine games overall.

Amendola was on the field for 38-of-74 snaps on offense in Sunday's 51-23 win over the Bears, ESPN.com reports.
Brandon LaFell (61) and Julian Edelman (45) both saw more snaps than Amendola on Sunday and until that changes, Amendola -- who caught both of his Week 8 targets for five yards -- is off the fantasy radar in all but the deepest of formats.
