Tue Jul 2 201320:05Steelers part ways with CB Justin King
Steelers released CB Justin King.
King was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury in June. A four-year veteran who made 12 starts for the Rams in 2011, King was ineffective in spot duty for the Colts last season. One of the worst starters in the league in 2011, King will have trouble finding a new home.

Thu Jun 6 201309:37Justin King lands on IR already
Steelers placed CB Justin King (hamstring) on injured reserve, ending his season.
King landed a $715,000 reserve/futures contract with the Steelers in January despite grading out as one of the worst corners in the league over the last two years. He was far from guaranteed to make the final 53, but now the Steelers will likely have to carry that $715K on the books for the season. Undrafted Kansas State rookie CB Nigel Malone has been added to the roster.

Tue Dec 18 201210:49Justin King signs on with desperate Steelers
Steelers signed CB Justin King.
The Steelers are absolutely desperate for corner help. Starters Ike Taylor (leg) and Keenan Lewis (hip) are both very questionable for Week 16, as is top backup Cortez Allen (hip). They ended last week's loss to the Cowboys with Curtis Brown and Josh Victorian as their base corners. King was nothing short of woeful while playing for the Colts last season, but at least brings 38 games of NFL experience to the table.

Colts released CB Justin King.
King won the Colts' nickel job in camp, but was off to a rough start before coming down with a groin injury. He made 12 starts for the Rams last season, tallying 58 tackles and one interception. He should find work before season's end.

Thu Aug 2 201216:47Justin King steps up as No. 2 CB
Colts DC Greg Manusky said Justin King has taken the lead in the left cornerback battle.
It's a bad sign that 2010 third-rounder Kevin Thomas has been unable to hold onto the gig. King has elite speed, but lacks physicality and graded out as the worst corner in the league last season. This Colts secondary will be one for fantasy owners to attack this season.

Fri Jun 8 201212:52Colts sign CB Justin King
Colts signed CB Justin King, formerly of the Rams.
The 2008 fourth-rounder was routinely toasted in coverage while playing through groin, ankle, and shoulder injuries as a fill-in for starter Ron Bartell last season. If he's healthy following post-season shoulder surgery, King will add much-needed experience to a green secondary in Indy.

Mon May 21 201208:49CB Justin King works out for Colts
Free agent CB Justin King worked out for the Colts on Friday.
Thrust into the starting lineup after St. Louis lost Ron Bartell for the year in Week 1 last season, King struggled with injuries and was routinely burned. He graded out as Pro Football Focus' worst cornerback. He'd be a pure depth signing for Indy.

Mon Dec 26 201114:05Justin King headed for shoulder surgery
Rams CB Justin King reportedly needs surgery on his injured shoulder.
Thrust into the starting lineup after the Rams lost Ronald Bartell for the season in Week 1, King has been inactive each of the past two weeks. Consistently burned this season, King has graded out as the worst cornerback in football by Pro Football Focus. Too reliant on speed instead of technique, King could have a hard time cracking the Rams roster in 2012.

Sat Nov 19 201110:30Justin King questionable for Week 11
Rams CB Justin King (ankle) is questionable for Week 11 after missing practice on Thursday and Friday.
It's par for the course for St. Louis, who has placed a staggering nine cornerbacks on injured reserve since the beginning of training camp. If King can't go, Nate Ness, who was signed off the practice squad just four days ago, will be forced to start opposite journeyman Rod Hood.

Mon Oct 24 201112:27Justin King injured for Rams
Rams CB Justin King left Sunday's loss to the Cowboys with a groin injury and did not return.
The Rams' secondary is absolutely in tatters. King's injury left them with just Al Harris, Josh Gordy and Rod Hood as healthy corners. Bradley Fletcher, Rob Bartell and Jerome Murphy are all done for the season.

Mon Sep 19 201109:18Justin King to start in place of Bartell
Justin King is expected to start in place of LCB Ron Bartell (fractured neck) going forward.
King is a 2008 fourth-round pick that goes just 5'11/188. He's more of a speed corner than a physical player, which could be an issue if Hakeem Nicks (knee) suits up tonight. Either way, Eli Manning has a plus matchup as he tries to snap out of his doldrums.

Rams re-signed CB Justin King.
King was headed for restricted free agency after playing eight games in sub-packages last season. If the Rams upgrade at corner, King may have to battle to keep his roster spot next season.

Thu Mar 3 201109:29Rams tender King, Robinson, Foster
Rams extended original pick tenders to CB Justin King, WR Laurent Robinson, and OG Renardo Foster as restricted free agents.
We were under the impression King was an exclusive rights free agent after earning just $395,000 last season, but the St. Louis Post-Dispatch says otherwise. Foster is a three-year vet and real restricted free agent. He struggled in 137 snaps at tackle last year. Robinson will eventually be a UFA.
