Tue Feb 5 201322:03Jordan Black eligible for offseason
Suspended free agent OT Jordan Black is eligible to participate in all offseason activities.
The journeyman lineman has one game remaining on his four-game ban, but can participate in OTAs, training camp and the like if he nets a new deal. Black played just 108 snaps last season after going unsigned in 2011, so it's far from a guarantee he'll find a new home.

Mon Dec 17 201215:33Backup OT Jordan Black popped for PEDs
Redskins OT Jordan Black has been suspended four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
A journeyman reserve, Black had appeared in all 14 games this season, but made zero starts. Black played heavy snaps in Sunday's win over the Browns after RT Tyler Polumbus departed with a concussion. If the Redskins don't make the playoffs, he'll be eligible to return in Week 3 2013. One month shy of his 33rd birthday, Black is headed for free agency. This won't help his market.

Mon Jul 30 201218:22Redskins sign OT Jordan Black
Redskins signed OT Jordan Black.
A camp body for the Saints last season, Black never made it into a regular-season game after making nine starts for the Jaguars in 2010. He's highly unlikely to crack the Redskins' 53-man roster.

Wed Aug 10 201117:26Saints sign OT Black, cut LB Danny Clark
Saints signed OT Jordan Black and released LB Danny Clark.
Clark fell victim to a numbers game at linebacker, and it doesn't help that he's well into his 30s. Black, 31, has 40 career starts, mostly at right and left tackle. We wonder if his addition may indicate that RT Jon Stinchcomb (knee surgery) has suffered a setback. Stinchcomb isn't practicing this week.

Mon Feb 7 201115:49Jaguars release OT Jordan Black
Jaguars released OT Jordan Black.
The move is surprising after Black closed out the season starting nine games at right tackle after Eben Britton's year-ending injury. Black is out of his element as a pass protector, but Jacksonville's run blocking stayed potent with the 31-year-old in the lineup. He should find a new home this summer.
Wed Oct 27 201011:24Black to handle RT with Britton out
Jaguars OT Jordan Black will start at right tackle now that Eben Britton is done for the season.
Coach Jack Del Rio said "we feel pretty good about sliding Jordan out there" before adding that "we'd love to keep him in a reserve role, but he's going to be called on and we'll need him to step up for us." Not exactly a ringing endorsement. Black is a big downgrade from Britton.
