The Philadelphia 76ers acquired center Tibor Pleiss, two 2017 second-round draft picks and cash considerations on Friday from the Utah Jazz in exchange for guard Kendall Marshall.The Sixers will receive the most and least favorable of the four 2017 second-round picks currently held by the Jazz (their own, in addition to those of Detroit, Golden State and New York). The 7-foot-3, 256-pound Pleiss was originally selected with the 31st overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets and acquired by the Jazz as part of a three-team trade in February 2015. He has appeared in 12 career games with Utah, averaging two points and one rebound in seven minutes per game. Marshall will be waived by the Jazz before his $2 million contract for next season becomes guaranteed, according to The Vertical. In 30 games last season, he averaged 3.7 points and 2.4 assists with the 76ers.

PG Kendall Marshall returned to action after sitting out Tuesday night as he continues to work his way back from a torn right ACL. Marshall spent last season with Milwaukee, appearing in 28 games before suffering the injury when the Bucks played the Knicks on Jan. 17 in London.

G Kendall Marshall and G Tony Wroten, who have yet to play this season while recovering from knee surgeries, might be back as soon as the first week of December, coach Brett Brown said.

G Kendall Marshall is also sitting out while recovering from surgery on his right ACL, but could not offer a timetable for his return. "I'm feeling good," he said. "I'm getting to where I want to go, but I guess it's just getting over that last hump. I think soon enough I'll be out there."

Marshall (knee) will be out through at least the end of October as he continues to rehab a torn right ACL, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Marshall was cleared to take full contact at the beginning of training camp, but the Sixers appear inclined to proceed slowly with the point guard, who tore up the knee in mid-January while playing with the Bucks. The former first-rounder should gradually continue his activities as camp rages on, but it's unclear at this point if he'll be ready to participate in preseason action at any point. If that's the case, Marshall could be at risk of missing the start of the regular season.

Marshall (knee) said Monday that he's been cleared for full contact, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports. "I've been cleared to do everything," Marshall said. "There's still a little pain, but that's part of the process."

Marshall signed a long-term, partially guaranteed deal with the 76ers this offseason after spending part of the 2014-15 season with the Bucks. Marshall's season came to a close in January when he suffered a torn ACL, but his rehab has progressed quickly and he figures to be ready when the 2015-16 season begins at the end of October. Given Philadelphia's roster construction, it's unclear where, exactly, Marshall fits, but he figures to see a regular rotational role, and he could challenge for a starting spot. When healthy, Marshall has proven to be one of the best per-minute assist men in the league, but he's yet to be given the chance to play big minutes on a nightly basis.

Marshall's signing could mean less playing time for projected 76ers starter Tony Wroten. He's a saavy ball-handler who can work the pick-and-roll well. Although they both point guards are recovering from knee injuries, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top by the end of the 2015-15 season. Marshall professed earlier that he would be ready by training camp, but we will have yet to see if just how much his knee can handle.

Marshall and the 76ers are finalizing a multi-year contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

According to Wojnarowski, the deal is expected to be fully guaranteed. Marshall is a crafty ball distributor as a point guard, but he's less than a year removed from a torn ACL.

The free agent, who tore his ACL as a member of the Bucks last season, said his rehab is going well, and the expectation is that he'll be at full strength when camps open. "The rehab has been going great," Marshall said. "I've started to do close-out drills and changes of direction. We've been aggressive with the rehab and I'll be ready when training camps open. With this injury, I know some guys have had setbacks, deal with tendinitis, and I haven't had any of that. It's been a smooth process. By the time August and September comes, I'll be getting fully ready for the season." The 23-year-old Marshall figures to draw considerable interest, as he's one of the best passing point guards in the league when healthy. Defensively, he's a work in progress, but he'll certainly get some looks from teams in need of backcourt depth.

Marshall suffered the injury in the Bucks' game against the Knicks in London this season in the middle of January, and he underwent surgery February 4th. While there's an outside chance Marshall will be ready for training camp next season, it's also possible the unrestricted free agent will still be rehabbing at that time and unable to secure a job before the 2015-16 season begins.

Marshall will be waived by the Suns following Thursday's trade from Milwaukee, the Arizona Republic reports.

Marshall suffered a season-ending ACL tear in mid-January, hurting the Bucks' point guard depth. In order to make contracts match up in Thursday's Brandon Knight deal, Marshall was a throw-in, and the Suns have ultimately opted to jettison him.

The development marks the third season-ending injury to a young Buck -- also, Jabari Parker (knee) and Damien Inglis (foot) -- but a date has yet to be scheduled for surgery. Once the procedure is complete, Marshall's recovery timetable should clear up. While the upcoming free agent is likely a long shot to be ready for the tip of the 2015-16 season, he'll conclude his third NBA campaign with averages of 4.2 points (on 46 percent shooting), 3.1 assists, one rebound, and 0.8 steals in 15 minutes per game.

Marshall suffered a knee injury in the first half of Thursday's game against the Knicks and will not return.

Marshall played just four minutes before exiting, recording just one rebound without attempting a field goal. A diagnosis has not yet been provided, so consider Marshall day-to-day until further notice.

Marshall scored 15 points (6-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), to go along with three assists, two rebounds, and one steal in 21 minutes on Sunday.

This was kind of an outlier, as Marshall was averaging 4.1 points per game leading up to Sunday. Additionally, with Brandon Knight and Jerryd Bayless in town there isn't much room for Marshall to see the court as a third string point guard.

Marshall moved into the starting lineup against the Hawks Friday. He scored four points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and added five assists and two steals in 25 minutes.

The 25 minutes marks a season high for Marshall, whose role has gradually increased over time this season. While Marshall did not have a great game statistically, the Bucks blew out a strong Hawks team. If Marshall stays in the starting lineup, he will have increased value, if only due to the increase in minutes.
