McCourty was on the field for all 72 defensive snaps in Sunday's 30-6 win over the Cowboys, ESPN.com reports.
McCourty recorded a season-high eight tackles in the process, bringing his overall total in four games to 21, to go along with one pick.

McCourty was on the field for all 73 defensive snaps in Thursday's season opener against the Steelers, ESPN.com reports.
McCourty recorded five tackles in the contest, but he should be a decent IDP this season, as long as he continues to log a heavy workload in the Patriots' secondary. McCourty notched 68 tackles and two picks in 2014.
Sun May 31 201521:21McCourty
McCourty, who signed a five-year, $47.5 million contract this offseason, was lined up at his usual safety spot during Friday's OTA practice, the Boston Herald reports.
With the Patriots losing Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Kyle Arrington and Alfonzo Dennard in the offseason, there's been speculation about the team moving McCourty to cornerback. The Patriots haven't addressed the matter and probably won't say anything, but it seems unlikely the team would move McCourty away from a position where he's been so fantastic the last few seasons. While they don't have any proven, high-level talent at cornerback, the Patriots do have some intriguing players in Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, Robert McClain, Justin Green and Bradley Fletcher.
Sun Mar 8 201523:03Devin McCourty: Will Stay In New England
McCourty agreed to a five-year, $47.5 million contract with the Patriots, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
McCourty reportedly turned down more money from another team, but his contract will still be one of the largest ever given to a safety. It's a nice deal for both sides, and it allows New England to turn its attention to negotiating with Darrelle Revis. While McCourty's work in coverage is immensely valuable to the Patriots, he doesn't collect enough tackles to warrant ownership in most IDP leagues.

McCourty (ribs), who was limited at practice all week, is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Bills, ESPN.com reports.
McCourty looks good to go this week, though with 13 tackles and a pick through five games to date, he's only an option in deeper IDP formats.
Wed Oct 8 201420:14McCourty (ribs) limited at Wednesday's practice
McCourty (ribs) was limited at Wednesday's practice, the Boston Globe reports.
More on McCourty's status as the week continues, but with 13 tackles and a pick through five games, his IDP utility has been modest thus far.

McCourty left Sunday's game against the Bengals with a rib injury and is questionable to return, Shalise Manza Young of The Boston Globe reports.
McCourty missed a good chunk of the second quarter, allowing Duron Harmon to get some playing time alongside Patrick Chung. McCourty hasn't done much in IDP leagues this season, with his one interception complemented by just 12 tackles (eight solo) and two pass defenses through four games. He was credited with an assisted tackle and a pass defense before leaving Sunday's contest.

McCourty was on the field for 73-of-74 snaps on defense in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, ESPN.com reports.
McCourty's snaps were tops among the team's defensive backs in Week 1, with Darrelle Revis missing the team's final nine snaps because of cramping. Though McCourty was limited to three tackles in the contest, his key role in the Patriots' defense should result in IDP-relevant production more often than not this season.
Fri Jun 6 201411:22Pats trying to do long-term deal w/ McCourty
NFL Network's Albert Breer reports the Patriots have reached out to FS Devin McCourty about a contract extension.
MCourty is set to earn a $3.92 million base salary in the final year of his rookie deal. Drafted as a corner out of Rutgers with the 27th pick in 2010, McCourty moved to safety full-time partway through the 2012 season and has been starring at the position. He's missed just three starts in four seasons and graded out as PFF's top safety in 2013. McCourty should command $7-8 million annually.

Sun Jan 26 201410:48Devin McCourty earns $3M salary escalator
Patriots FS Devin McCourty earned a $3 million salary escalator, raising his 2014 base salary from $920,000 to $3.92 million.
McCourty earned the bump in pay due to him playing at least 80 percent of the defensive snaps in each of his first four seasons. Entering the final year of his contract, McCourty is now scheduled to count $5.115 million against the 2014 salary cap. It makes him a prime candidate for a contract extension.

Sat May 25 201319:53Patriots not talking extension with McCourty
ESPN Boston doesn't consider Patriots FS Devin McCourty a candidate for a contract extension
McCourty is signed through 2014, so there's no rush to get a long-term deal done. The Patriots can let McCourty play out this year before they open extension talks. McCourty started all 16 games last season, recording 82 tackles, five interceptions and one fumble.

Tue Apr 9 201310:15Devin McCourty's surgery was 'minor'
The Boston Globe refers to Devin McCourty's shoulder surgery as "minor."
McCourty should be 100 percent ahead of training camp. He'll be breaking in a new partner as hard-hitting Adrian Wilson steps in at strong safety. McCourty started all 16 games a year ago, recording 82 tackles, five interceptions and one forced fumble.

Fri Mar 29 201315:21Pats FS McCourty undergoes shoulder surgery
Patriots FS Devin McCourty is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.
"Multiple sources" tell ESPN Boston McCourty is still expected to be ready by training camp. McCourty played through a separated right shoulder in 2011, but started every game last year. The operation may have been a routine "cleanup" procedure to repair loose particles. McCourty, 25, has settled in as the Pats' free safety after beginning his career at cornerback. He finished 2012 with 82 tackles, five interceptions, and four fumbles forced.

Sat Jan 26 201308:39Devin McCourty was Patriots' 2012 'iron man'
Patriots FS Devin McCourty was the team's "iron man" in 2012, playing 98 percent of New England's defensive snaps and 52 percent on special teams.
All told, he played 1,329 snaps on defense and 256 on "teams." Plagued by inconsistency his first two NFL seasons at cornerback, McCourty was moved to free safety essentially full time for the final 12 games in 2012 and took off. His 10.1 passer rating allowed on throws into his coverage was the NFL's stingiest clip, per Pro Football Focus. The Patriots have 25-year-old McCourty under contract cheaply through 2014.

Mon Dec 24 201220:30Devin McCourty moved to cornerback in Week 16
Devin McCourty was moved to cornerback in Sunday's win over the Jaguars.
Aqib Talib (hip) still isn't completely healthy, and the Patriots were forced to use their big nickel package of McCourty, Steve Gregory, and Patrick Chung. Prior to last week, McCourty had started eight straight games at free safety. Talib played just 8-of-80 snaps on Sunday and may be dealing with a setback.

Tue Nov 20 201210:35Devin McCourty sticked at safety
Sources tell the Boston Globe that Devin McCourty will remain at safety for the rest of the season.
Aqib Talib is the Patriots' new No. 1 corner opposite rookie Alfonzo Dennard. McCourty did excel while playing roughly 20 percent of his snaps at safety last year and the Patriots have been trying to get him back there ever since. If he can pair with strong safety Patrick Chung (shoulder, day-to-day), the Pats would have themselves an upgrade at two positions. They are currently ranked 30th in the league against the pass.

Mon Aug 6 201216:28McCourty lining up exclusively at corner
According to ESPN Boston, Devin McCourty has lined up "exclusively" at cornerback in Patriots camp, and "looks primed to stay there."
Injuries in New England's secondary forced McCourty to play roughly 20 percent of his 2011 snaps at safety, but he should stick at his natural left cornerback this season. McCourty was one of the league's better cover corners in 2010, but was inconsistent amidst the chaos in the Pats' safety and cornerback corps last season.
