Bryant received a PRP injection Friday to help speed up the healing process following foot surgery, USA Today reports. "There is not a concern about his progress," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. "The fact that he can do that (injection therapy) is a positive. This was not something to address something that was a surprise or anything. It was something to get him some additional strength."
The platelet-rich plasma injection is intended to boost healing in an area that doesn't get a lot of blood flow. The Cowboys will be on bye following Sunday's game against the Patriots, and the team should have a better idea of Bryant's progress and possible timetable for a return during that week.

Bryant (foot) has been able to do some light running on a treadmill but has yet to run on the practice field, ESPN Dallas reports. "[He's been] Getting in condition without putting too much stress and strain on his foot, so he has not been out running routes or anything like that up to this point," coach Jason Garrett said. "There are different ways to run where you can kind of get yourself in as good a shape as possible leading up to it, so he's been involved in that."
The Cowboys still haven't ruled out a return for Bryant in Week 7 following their bye, but that timetable seems extremely optimistic if he isn't able to put full weight on his surgically repaired foot yet. More likely, the wide receiver will be able to rejoin the lineup some time in November.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he thinks Bryant (foot) has a shot to return for Week 7 against the Giants, Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Week 7 represents an absolute best-case scenario, as the Cowboys have acknowledged all along that Bryant will at least be out through the Week 6 bye. With his recovery going well, Bryant could be back for Week 7 or 8, but it's also quite possible he'll need a few weeks beyond that to heal.

Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones is still confident that Bryant (foot) will be able to return to the lineup soon after the team's Week 6 bye, the Dallas Morning News reports. "Our prognosis has never changed," Jones said Friday. "I know there have been a lot of people who have doctors on their media staff and like to speculate on these things, but we've been pretty consistent from Day One. At first we thought maybe four to six [weeks] and that changed to six to eight. By the next day we were pretty much thinking six to eight."
That timeline is still on the optimistic side given the track record of other players who have had similar injuries, but the Cowboys are still hoping Bryant's recovery from surgery will go more smoothly than usual.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Thursday that the pain in Bryant's surgically-repaired foot is "going away by the day", ESPN Dallas reports.
Bryant was seen in the locker room at Valley Ranch walking without his protective boot Wednesday, although he had it back on Thursday. Estimates on his recovery have varied wildly, but the team still seems confident that he can return to the lineup inside six weeks.

Bryant (foot) suggested that recent reports regarding a timeline of 10-to-12 weeks are inaccurate, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said he expects Bryant to be out for four-to-six weeks, and while that may be an overly optimistic estimate, it seems the timeline of 10-12 weeks is too pessimistic. Bryant may have to play some games with Brandon Weeden instead of Tony Romo (shoulder), who is expected to miss 4-12 weeks with a broken clavicle suffered during Sunday's win over the Eagles, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Following bone graft surgery on his foot this past Monday, Bryant could be facing a 10-12 week recovery, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport .
Previously, there had been hope that Bryant could be looking at a four-to-six week recovery, but that may have been on the optimistic side of things. Per the report, 10 weeks from the injury would be Nov. 22, which is when the Cowboys take on the Dolphins in Week 11. Beyond that, the Cowboys face a short-turnaround, since their next game after that is Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving Day). With that in mind, Rapoport speculates that if Bryant is "not fully ready for that stretch, the Cowboys might wait the full 12 weeks and have him back for the final five games." In Bryant's indefinite absence, Terrance Williams is in line to head the team's wideout corps, with the likes of Devin Street and Cole Beasley candidates to see added opportunities in the meantime.
Fri Sep 18 201511:43Dez Bryant: (Foot) Will Avoid Short-Term IR
The Cowboys will not place Bryant (foot) on the IR-designated to return list, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.
Head coach Jason Garrett said the Cowboys considered placing Bryant on the short-term injured reserve list in order to open up a roster spot, but doing so would have ruled Bryant out for a minimum of eight weeks, so the team opted to keep him on the 53-man roster for now. While it can be seen as a positive that Bryant avoided the short-term IR list, he will need at least six weeks to recover from his broken foot, and could still end up missing eight weeks anyway, so this news does not significantly alter his return timetable.
Tue Sep 15 201514:11Dez Bryant: (Foot) Surgery Goes Well
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Bryant's foot surgery went well, adding that the wideout will need six weeks for the bone to fully heal, Drew Davison of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Bryant won't necessarily be ready to play once the bone is healed, so it appears he'll be out until at least Week 8, and quite possibly a few more games. Different sources have provided varying estimates, with the range stretching from six weeks on the low end to a worst-case scenario of 12 weeks. The Cowboys unsurprisingly fall on the optimistic side of that spectrum, but ESPN's Dr. Mark Adickes said a timeline of 8-12 weeks is more realistic, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Mon Sep 14 201519:38Dez Bryant: (Foot) Recovery May Extend To Eight Weeks
Bryant had a screw inserted in his broken right foot Monday, and while the Cowboys believe he'll likely miss six weeks, his recovery may extend to eight weeks, David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Bryant was given an initial timetable of 4-to-6 weeks after breaking the fifth metatarsal in his right foot Sunday, but the amended rehab period could wipe away the first two months of the season, thus making him a candidate for short-term injured reserve. In the meantime, the Cowboys could consolidate pass-catching reps in the hands of Jason Witten, Terrance Williams, and Cole Beasley. On the periphery, though, running back Lance Dunbar, tight end Gavin Escobar, and new No. 3 wideout Devin Street are candidates to experience an increase in snaps, at the very least.

Bryant (foot) will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair his broken right foot, ESPN.com reports.
Bryant is expected to miss four-to-six weeks after Tuesday's procedure, which is to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot. With that timetable, Bryant should be available to return in late October or early November, opening a huge amount of targets in the Cowboys' offense until then. While usual No. 2 wideout Terrance Williams should enjoy a larger role in Bryant's absence, tight end Jason Witten and slot receiver Cole Beasley, as well as wideout Devin Street and pass-catching tailback Lance Dunbar, could all receive an uptick in targets moving forward.
Mon Sep 14 201500:31Dez Bryant: (Broken Foot) Out 4-6 Weeks
Bryant will be out for four-to-six weeks with a broken right foot, NFL Network's Desmond Purnell reports.
Bryant will require surgery for the injury, which he suffered during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 27-26 comeback win over the Giants. He finished with five catches for only 48 yards on seven targets, but the Cowboys' tight ends and running backs more than picked up the slack. A bunch of players could see more targets in Bryant's absence, but the leading candidates to take on his snaps are Devin Street and Cole Beasley.
Mon Sep 14 201500:07Dez Bryant: Suffers Broken Bone In Foot
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Bryant broke a bone in his foot during Sunday's 27-26 win over the Giants, NFL Network's Desmond Purnell reports.
Bryant will presumably miss multiple games, after exiting Sunday's contest in the fourth quarter. He finished with just five catches for 48 yards on seven targets, and he was watching from the locker room as his teammates pulled off a shocking comeback win. In Bryant's absence, a slew of different players could see added targets, with Cole Beasley and Devin Street most likely to get additional snaps. The injury is a big blow to Tony Romo's owners, in addition to Bryant's.
Sun Sep 13 201523:16Dez Bryant: Exits With Foot Injury
Bryant left Sunday's game against the Giants in the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a foot injury, according to NBC's Michelle Tafoya.
Bryant was with the Dallas training staff on the sideline while his teammates tried to erase a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter. He had a visible limp and wasn't putting much pressure on the injured foot, then eventually left for the locker room. Prior to the injury, he caught five passes for 48 yards on seven targets.
Sun Sep 13 201519:17Bryant (hamstring) active for Sunday's game against Giants
Bryant (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.
Bryant was a full participant throughout the week of practice, leaving little question that he'd suit up for Sunday night's game. He'll face a solid cornerback duo in Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamara, but the rest of the Giants defense appears shaky in coverage.
Fri Sep 11 201515:37Bryant (hamstring) probable for Sunday's game against Giants
Bryant (hamstring) is probable for Sunday's game against the Giants, DallasCowboys.com reports.
A full participant in practice throughout the week, Bryant should be at full strength for Sunday's game against the Giants. He caught 16 passes (on 22 targets) for 237 yards and two touchdowns in two games against Big Blue last season.
Wed Sep 9 201516:40Dez Bryant: (Hamstring) Full Practice Wednesday
Bryant (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
With the hamstring concern behind him, Bryant is in line to make his usual mark on Sunday night against the Giants, who he torched for 16 catches (on 22 targets) for 237 yards and two touchdowns in two division matchups last season.
Wed Sep 9 201512:49Bryant (hamstring) took part in Wednesday's practice
Bryant (hamstring) took part in Wednesday's practice, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Early in training camp, Bryant tweaked his left hamstring and didn't make an appearance in drills until Aug. 26. With only two preseason tilts remaining, he ended the exhibition season with no snaps on the ledger, but a full return to practice Wednesday, as expected, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, would forecast active status in the regular season opener Sunday against the Giants.

Coach Jason Garrett indicated Monday that Bryant (hamstring) is expected to be a full-go at Wednesday's practice, the Forth Worth Star-Telegram reports.
While Bryant didn't see any game action in the preseason, while having being limited with a hamstring injury since Aug. 6, he'll be good to go in Week 1, barring any setbacks. Despite the recent lack of game reps with quarterback Tony Romo, Bryant will continue to work as the Cowboys' top wideout out of the gate, on the heels of a 2014 season in which he racked up 88 catches for 1,320 yards and 16 TDs.

Bryant (hamstring) participated in team drills in Monday's practice, Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports.
The occasion marked Bryant's first work in the team portion of practice since last Wednesday. No matter, after logging no snaps in the Cowboys' first three preseason games, he's unlikely to risk the health of his healing hamstring Thursday against the Texans.
