Powell (quad) did not practice Monday, NJ.com reports.

As the Jets returned to work Monday following their bye, Powell was unable to log a practice, so his status will be worth monitoring as this coming Sunday's game against Washington approaches.

Jets head coach Todd Bowles said after Sunday's game against the Dolphins in London that he was "not sure yet" about the severity of Powell's groin injury, NJ.com reports.

Powell left the game in the second quarter due to the injury and did not return. The Jets will fly back to the States on Sunday and Powell will be evaluated in the coming week to help determine if he will miss any time. Thankfully for the Jets, they are off in Week 5, giving Powell extra time to recover.

Powell caught one pass for 12 yards Sunday against the Dolphins before leaving the game with a groin injury.

Powell left the game early with a groin injury and didn't return. Before leaving the contest, he wasn't getting nearly as much work as he had early in the season when he was almost sharing touches equally with Chris Ivory. He didn't have a single carry, and his reception was on the only target he saw.

Powell led the Jets' backfield Sunday against the Eagles but he rushed for only 31 yards on 10 carries and caught seven passes on eight targets for 44 yards.

Starting running back Chris Ivory was active for the game after being listed as questionable with a quad injury, but he never got on the field, leaving Powell to get most of the touches. Backup Zac Stacy rushed twice for three yards and caught two passes on two targets for minus-2 yards, so while Powell was hardly impressive, Stacy was even worse. Given that Ivory was reportedly close to playing, it's possible that he could return in Week 4 against the Dolphins in London, though if he has to sit out, Powell would get the start.

Powell gained 38 yards on 12 carries and caught four passes (on five targets) for 16 yards in Monday evening's win against the Colts.

Powell was once again fairly regularly involved in the Jets' offense, providing a nice backup to starter Chris Ivory. Although Powell wasn't able to find much room to run overall, he did break a game-long rush of 23 yards. Additionally, with 16 touches on the night, Powell garnered a sizable workload for a second-string tailback, which is encouraging for his stock if his production improves moving forward.

Powell had 12 carries for 62 yards and added two receptions for 16 yards Sunday against the Browns.

During the first half, Powell saw very little action until the Jets went into their two-minute offense. However, in the second half, he rotated frequently into the game for Chris Ivory, and he was even the primary running back while the team was grinding out the clock in the last five minutes of the contest. It looks like he'll be in the mix for touches on a regular basis.

Powell is in the mix to return kicks in Week 1, the New York Daily News reports.

It appears that Powell is healed from the ankle injury he suffered on August 31, since he's being considered for kickoff duty. New head coach Todd Bowles said that either Powell, Zac Stacy or Chris Owusu would return kicks Sunday against the Browns. He's also set to be the backup running back to Chris Ivory.

Powell injured his ankle Saturday against the Giants and is questionable to return, Rich Cimini of ESPN New York reports.

Prior to his departure near the end of the first quarter, Powell recorded one carry for two yards and one reception for eight yards. His ankle was subsequently wrapped on the sideline, but the Jets likely won't take any chances with the reserve running back.

Powell carried four times for 27 yards and caught three of his four pass targets for nine yards Friday against the Falcons.

Powell played with both the first and second team offenses. He wasn't only used on screen passes out of the backfield, as he was frequently lined up as a receiver, sometimes in the slot, and also on occasion, as an outside receiver. It appears as if he has a firm hold as a change-of-pace running back, and he should have some value in PPR leagues as a reserve fantasy player.

Powell carried eight times for 35 yards in Thursday's preseason opener against the Lions.

While Powell isn't expected to overtake Chris Ivory, who is listed as the No. 1 running back on the Jets' depth chart, he does have a chance to gain some fantasy utility in deeper formats, given that he's in line to see his share of third-down work for the team.

Powell agreed to a new contract with the Jets on Tuesday, Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News reports.

The Jets declined the second-year option on Chris Johnson's contract, but they'll bring back both Chris Ivory and Powell. While the team will likely look to bring in a third candidate for touches via free agency or the draft, it's not all that hard to envision Powell getting a larger chunk of the snaps in 2015, especially on passing downs.

Powell saw limited use in 2014, rushing for 141 yards and adding 92 yards on 11 receptions.

Powell did average 4.3 yards on his 33 attempts, the third straight year he's been at 4.0 or better. He was the No. 3 back in a two-back rotation in 2014, and it's hard to see his role expanding next season.

Powell's score came in garbage time, drawing the Jets to within 20 points late in the fourth period. He might be an interesting fantasy option later in the year if something happens to Chris Ivory or Chris Johnson.
