Moreland signed a one-year deal to remain with the Kings on Thursday,Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Moreland was waived by the Kings in late July, but is now headed back to Sacramento after not being picked up by any other team. He only played in three games last season, averaging 0.7 points and 0.3 rebounds in 1 minute per game. Moreland suffered a shoulder injury on New Year's Day that sidelined him for the remainder of the season. In five games during the 2015 Summer League, he averaged 8.0 rebounds, 6.4 points, 2.0 blocks, and 1.2 assists in over 21 minutes per game. The undrafted second-year big-man will look to further develop his game to the NBA level this season, but offers little-to-no fantasy value to start the season.

Moreland was waived by the Kings on Wednesday, Shams Charania of RealGM reports.
Moreland's contract was about to become guaranteed, so the Kings decided to cut ties, as they already have 15 other players under contract. In five games with the Kings during the 2015 NBA Summer League, the second-year pro finished with averages of 6.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2.0 blocks over 21 minutes. Considering Moreland's age and potential for growth, he very well could get a training camp invite from another team. Whether he makes his way on to a regular season roster or not, though, he's not going to be worth much in terms of his fantasy value.

Moreland (shoulder) is progressing in his recovery from a torn left labrum, Cowbell Kingdom reports. "I'd probably say I'm 75 percent, 80. It's been about four months post-op, so I'm coming along and I'm feeling pretty good," Moreland said.
The rookie out of Oregon state injured his shoulder last offseason but played through the injury throughout camp en route to earning a roster spot. He spent most of the early season in the D-League, averaging 13.7 points and 12.7 rebounds in seven appearances for the Reno Bighorns before deciding to undergo surgery and shut himself down for the season. Moreland has been performing one-on-one drills with the Kings' coaching staff, but he's yet to take any contact. The Sacramento Kings have assigned Sim Bhullar and David Wear to the Reno Bighorns, Sactown Royalty reports.
Moreland, an undrafted rookie shot blocking specialist, has been racking up DNP's in the early portion of the season. One would assume General Manager Pete D'Alessandro will want him to get some minutes somewhere, at some point, so he can develop his skills. The Kings are winning games against good teams right now, so it seems unlikely Moreland will get NBA minutes anytime soon. Stay tuned.
