Tue Oct 13 201513:34Wright signed by Ravens on Tuesday
Wright was signed by the Ravens on Tuesday.
Despite signing a one-year, $3 million contract in the offseason, Wright couldn't get on the field for a corner-needy San Francisco team, eventually leading to his release. He'll now join one of the few teams that is in worse shape at his position, which means he could actually take on a decent role. Wright is still far removed from the IDP picture.

Wright was released by the 49ers on Saturday.
Wright, the 28-year-old defensive back, didn't play a down all season and with the 49ers looking for additional help on the offensive line, was released to make room for guard Andrew Tiller. Wright will try to catch on with another team struggling for depth in the secondary.
Sun Mar 15 201516:44The 49ers have signed Wright
The 49ers have signed Wright, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Wright (along with Chris Cook) will bolster the 49ers' cornerback situation, with Perrish Cox and Chris Culliver having left the team via free agency. Wright recorded a career-high 60 tackles this past season with the Chargers.

Wright (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Wright, who returns after a two-game absence, could reclaim some IDP utility once he re-establishes his role in the Chargers' defense. In four games to date, he has 23 tackles to his credit.

Wright (knee) is listed as probable for Sunday's game and was a full participant in practice.
Two days of full practice is definitely a good sign for Wright returning, and the groin injury to Brandon Flowers, who is questionable, means the Chargers could have some extra need at cornerback against the Chiefs.
Mon Oct 13 201419:33Wright (knee) could return as soon as Sunday against Chiefs
Wright (knee) could return as soon as Sunday against the Chiefs, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Wright has missed the last two games while recovering from a knee injury, but the team expects to have him back as soon as Sunday. His level of participation in practice this week is what will ultimately determine his status.
Fri Oct 3 201418:24Wright (knee) will miss Sunday's game against Jets
Wright (knee) will miss Sunday's game against the Jets.
Wright underwent an MRI on his injured knee earlier in the week, but it revealed a minor issue compared to the sprained MCL that was feared. He didn't participate in practice at all this week, foreshadowing his out status for Sunday's game.
Wed Oct 1 201416:35Wright (knee) did not practice Wednesday
Wright (knee) did not practice Wednesday, the Chargers' official site reports.
While Wright's status for Sunday's game against the Jets is unclear, it does appear as though the cornerback did not suffer a serious knee injury in Week 4's win over the Jaguars.
Sun Sep 28 201418:21Wright slated to undergo MRI on knee
Wright is slated to undergo an MRI on his knee, the San Diego Union Tribune reports.
Wright, who left Sunday's game against the Jaguars in the second quarter, may have sprained his right MCL and if that's the case the cornerback is likely to miss some time.
Fri Jun 28 201316:20Shareece Wright looks like a 2013 starter
Chargers 2011 third-round pick Shareece Wright handled first-team reps "throughout" OTA season opposite Derek Cox.
Cox is locked in at one corner, and Wright is the heavy favorite for the other job despite playing only 120 defensive snaps in 2012. It's one of the weaker positions on San Diego's roster. If the season began today, Wright and Cox would be the first-team outside cornerbacks with Johnny Patrick entering in sub-packages. Eric Weddle and Marcus Gilchrist would be the starting safeties.

Thu Jun 6 201319:01Shareece Wright expected to start for Bolts
The Chargers are "confident in" third-year CB Shareece Wright taking over the starting spot opposite Derek Cox.
The Bolts let both of last year's starters -- Quentin Jammer and Antoine Cason -- go in free agency, and only signed Cox. Wright battled a high-ankle sprain and a partial tear of an ankle ligament last season, limiting him to ten games. The former third-round pick has never started a game, and he's played just 124 defensive snaps in two seasons. San Diego is woefully thin at corner.

Chargers CB Shareece Wright (ankle) has resumed practicing.
Wright suffered a high-ankle sprain on San Diego's season-opening kickoff, but could be ready for snaps in the slot as early as Monday. Even if Wright isn't ready to face the Broncos, he'll undoubtedly be ready to roll following the Bolts' Week 7 bye.

Mon Sep 17 201218:58Shareece Wright out 4-6 weeks
Chargers CB Shareece Wright is out 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain and partial tear of an ankle ligament.
He apparently won't be placed on injured reserve just yet. A 2011 third-round pick out of USC, Wright was coming on with a big training camp before going down in Week 1. The Chargers will be thin behind Quentin Jammer, Antoine Cason, and Marcus Gilchrist going forward. They also cut CB Greg Gatson on Monday.

Third-round CB Shareece Wright has missed the majority of training camp with an unspecified muscle strain in his leg.
Beat writer Kevin Acee suggests the missed reps are more of a concern than the actual injury. Wright could be headed toward the game-day inactive list to start the season.
