The Buccaneers placed Clayborn on injured reserve Friday with a biceps injury, Jenna Laine of Sports Talk Florida reports.
Clayborn was replaced on the roster by fellow defensive end Scott Solomon. The Buccaneers opted not to pick up the fifth-year option on Clayborn's contract over the offseason, so it's possible he has played his last game for Tampa Bay.
Thu Jun 5 201422:54Adrian Clayborn poised for breakout season?
ESPN NFC South blogger Pat Yasinskas is forecasting a breakout season for fourth-year LE Adrian Clayborn.
Moving from right to left end to make room for high-priced Michael Johnson, Clayborn should see action at both positions this year, and play about 90 percent of Tampa's defensive snaps. "Last year, he had 19.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and three of them were on the left side," noted new DL coach Joe Cullen. "... He's going to play both sides." Clayborn, 26 in July, is in his contract year.

Fri Apr 25 201412:36Bucs decline Adrian Clayborn's 5th-yr option
The Bucs have decided against exercising DE Adrian Clayborn's fifth-year option for 2015.
It means Clayborn is entering a contract year in 2014. The fifth-year club option would've set up Clayborn for a non-guaranteed $6.969 million in 2015, but he was not drafted by the Buccaneers' current front office, and is a questionable scheme fit for Leslie Frazier's new Tampa 2. Clayborn registered 7.5 sacks in a promising 2011 rookie year, but has just 5.5 across 19 games since.

Mon Apr 21 201414:10Bucs to decline Clayborn's 5th-year option
Profootballtalk.com reports the Buccaneers are "doubtful" to exercise DE Adrian Clayborn's fifth-year club option.
A source also told PFT the Bucs have "no intention of trading" Clayborn as he enters his contract year. With Michael Johnson signed to play right defensive end, Clayborn is moving to the left side this season in Leslie Frazier's Tampa-2 style defense. Not exercising the option doesn't mean Clayborn will definitely leave the Bucs after this season, but it greatly increases the chances.

Wed Mar 26 201407:51Bucs moving Clayborn to left end
The Buccaneers are moving Adrian Clayborn to left defensive end.
Michael Johnson is Tampa Bay's new right defensive end. Clayborn has been a weak-side rusher to this point in his NFL career, but he has a pretty natural body type for left end at 6-foot-3, 281. The 2011 first-round pick notched 64 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles at right end last year. Clayborn could see more tackle chances on the strong side, increasing his IDP consistency.

Fri Jul 26 201313:56Adrian Clayborn a full participant at camp
Bucs RE Adrian Clayborn (ACL surgery) was a full participant as the team opened training camp.
Whereas Darrelle Revis (knee), Carl Nicks (toe), and Davin Joseph (knee) were each slightly limited on day one, Clayborn took part in "all 24 of the morning drills" and is all systems go. "Adrian looks great," said coach Greg Schiano. "... I expect big things." Clayborn tore his right ACL last September, so he'll be nearly a full year removed when the 2013 season kicks off.

Tue May 21 201311:46Bucs letting Clayborn take it easy in OTAs
Bucs coach Greg Schiano said the team is going to keep RE Adrian Clayborn (knee) out of OTAs for "safety reasons."
Clayborn is "doing well" in his recovery from a torn ACL that he suffered in Week 3 last season, and he's expected to be ready to go for training camp and the season opener. After opting not to re-sign DE Michael Bennett, the Bucs are putting a lot of faith in injury risks Clayborn and LE Da'Quan Bowers.

Mon Sep 24 201216:57Bucs DE Clayborn won't be back this season
Bucs RE Adrian Clayborn is done for the season with a torn knee ligament.
The precise extent is unknown, but it's a good bet that Clayborn tore his ACL and perhaps more. For pass rushers who rely so much on explosion off the ball, it can take longer than a full year to recapture past form from significant knee surgery. The Bucs are going to need to look at defensive ends in the 2013 draft and free agency. Tampa Bay's pass rush also takes a major hit. Opponents should be able to double team Gerald McCoy inside more easily as the Bucs are now essentially devoid of difference-making outside-edge rushers.

Sun Sep 23 201219:31Bucs DE Clayborn may be done for the year
"Several players" in the Bucs' locker room Sunday suggested RE Adrian Clayborn's right knee injury will be season ending.
Clayborn left Cowboys Stadium with a brace extending from his thigh to his ankle, and "early indications" are his year is over. "We're going to have to wait and see until tomorrow," is all coach Greg Schiano would say. Clayborn's loss would be devastating to the Tampa Bay defense because he's the Bucs' only true threatening edge rusher. The Bucs play the Redskins in Week 4.

Sun Sep 23 201215:48Bucs DE Clayborn leaves with leg injury
Bucs DE Adrian Clayborn was forced from Sunday's Week 3 game at Dallas with what appeared to be a serious right leg injury.
Clayborn had to be helped off the field and was then carted to the locker room. With less than a quarter remaining, he's almost certainly done for the day. It could be a multi-week injury.

Fri Nov 4 201111:38Rookie Clayborn leads Bucs' pass rushers

"Adrian Clayborn has changed our entire defensive line," said DT Gerald McCoy, "with how he rushes, the pressure he puts on quarterbacks and his constant effort," Clayborn has a non-stop motor, and DL coach Keith Millard praised his "awesome" work ethic and attitude.

Wed Jul 27 201101:24Report: Bucs sign No. 20 pick DE A. Clayborn
Buccaneers agreed to terms with No. 20 overall pick DE Adrian Clayborn on a multi-year contract.
The Bucs front office is lapping in the field in rookie signings, and Clayborn is the first first-rounder to sign on the dotted line. Clayborn is expected to step right in as the starting right defensive end opposite second-rounder Da'Quan Bowers, upgrading a pass rush that ranked just 30th in the NFL in sacks last season.
