Sanchez completed 13 of 19 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the Saturday's 39-26 win over the Packers.
After Sam Bradford's impressive performance against Green Bay, the supposed "quarterback competition" is officially over in Philadelphia. Sanchez will be the Eagles' backup gunslinger, but he proved Saturday that he's still a capable passer. He'll only be valuable to fantasy owners in the event of an injury to Bradford, but Sanchez has shown that he can operate in Chip Kelly's quarterback-friendly offense and put up favorable stats.

Sanchez connected on 14-of-20 passing attempts for 118 yards in Saturday's 40-17 win over the Ravens.
Sanchez looked much sharper against Baltimore than in his shaky preseason debut against the Colts. Still, it has become readily apparent that fellow quarterback Sam Bradford will be the team's starter in Week 1 as long as he's healthy, and Sanchez will be the team's primary backup.

Sanchez connected on 2-of-7 passing attempts for 52 yards with a TD in Sunday's preseason opener against the Colts.
The highlight of Sanchez's abbreviated outing Sunday was a 34-yard touchdown pass to rookie wideout Nelson Agholor. In any case, it remains the expectation that Sam Bradford, who was held out of Sunday's contest, will be the Eagles' starter at QB when the team's regular season slate opens up.

Sanchez will start Sunday's preseason opener against the Colts but isn't expected to get much playing time, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The Eagles are just taking things slow with Sam Bradford (knee), who is expected to start the second preseason game. Despite some early talk of an open competition, Bradford has received most of the first-team reps at training camp and seems to be the overwhelming favorite to start in Week 1. Sanchez will likely play just one or two drives in Sunday's game before giving way to Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow.

Sanchez, who expects to compete with Sam Bradford for the starting job, said his surgically-repaired shoulder feels much stronger this year, ESPN.com reports.
Another year removed from shoulder surgery, with a full season in Chip Kelly's offense under his belt, Sanchez expects to improve in 2015. Of course, he'll need to get on the field to prove it, and while Kelly said there will be an open competition, the Eagles have invested far more resources in Sam Bradford (knee). Working in Sanchez's favor, Bradford is still unable to practice with the team, and there have even been reports suggesting that the former Ram isn't a lock to be ready for Week 1.

Sanchez indicates that he believes that there will be an open competition between him and Sam Bradford for the Eagles' top QB job this offseason, csnphilly.com reports.
With the NFL draft now in the books and Marcus Mariota a member of the Titans, the focus in Philly is now on the team's veteran options at QB. While the general assumption is that Bradford will open the season as the team's starter, he is coming off an ACL injury, so at a minimum, Sanchez figures to see his share of offseason reps in order to make a case for the assignment. Meanwhile, Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow are in line to compete for the team's No. 3 QB spot.
Sun Mar 8 201519:38Mark Sanchez: Reaches Agreement With Eagles
Sanchez reached a two-year agreement with the Eagles that contains $5.5 million in guaranteed money, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The deal is worth up to $16 million, with much of that presumably in the form of incentives. It's still a far better contract than the average backup quarterback receives, ensuring that speculation about Nick Foles' future will only continue. The Eagles will likely either keep Foles or draft another signal-caller, but Sanchez might still get a shot to compete for the starting job in either scenario.

Sanchez completed 23 of 36 passes for 292 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 34-26 win over the Giants. He also rushed for 22 yards on seven carries.
After Nick Foles suffered a midseason collarbone injury, Sanchez played in nine games (eight starts) for the Eagles, finishing with 2,418 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He had a few bright spots but was inconsistent overall, and the Eagles' three-game December slide to eliminate them from playoff contention doesn't reflect well on the quarterback. Sanchez will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and while a return to Philadelphia doesn't seem like the most likely outcome, it's certainly not out of the question either.

The Eagles plan to stick with Sanchez at quarterback for the team's season finale against the Giants on Sunday, ESPN.com reports.
With Nick Foles still recovering from his collarbone injury, and the team eliminated from playoff contention, the Eagles could have elected to take a look at Matt Barkley in Week 17, but they will continue to roll with Sanchez, who is slated to become a free agent after the season. Sanchez completed 37-of-50 passes for 374 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 16's 27-24 loss to Washington, the Eagles' third straight defeat.

Sanchez completed 37 of 50 passes for 374 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 27-24 loss to Washington. He added 22 rushing yards on three carries, but was sacked three times and lost a fumble.
Sanchez went to the air early and often, but he seemed reluctant to take many shots downfield. His longest completion was 26 yards, and he spent much of the night dumping the ball off to tight end Zach Ertz (15 receptions on 18 targets). Eagles fans probably aren't happy with his performance, but any fantasy owners forced to start him in Week 16 have to be pleasantly surprised by this stat line. There is a chance Nick Foles is healthy enough to retake the job for Week 17, but we likely won't receive any clarity on his status until later next week.

Sanchez completed 17-of-28 passes for 252 yards, with no touchdowns and two interception, in Sunday's 38-27 loss to the Cowboys.
Sanchez also took four sacks, as he generally appeared uncomfortable in the pocket. His yardage total was inflated by impressive catch-and-runs from Jeremy Maclin and Josh Huff, who turned short passes into gains of 72 and 44 yards, respectively. Sanchez did not complete any passes deep down the field, and he missed open receivers on intermediate routes on numerous occasions. Any talk of him displacing Nick Foles (collarbone) can probably be put to rest, given how poorly Sanchez has played the past two weeks. Of course, Foles may not be ready for Week 16 against Washington, so Sanchez could be in line for another start.

Sanchez completed 10-of-20 passes for only 96 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception, in Sunday's 24-14 loss to Seattle.
Sanchez got off to a decent start, tossing a short touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin in the first quarter, but struggled the rest of the way. Even his 35-yard touchdown pass to Zach Ertz was underthrown, as Ertz made a nice adjustment to the ball. It didn't help that the Eagles' defense could not stop the Seahawks, as the defending Super Bowl champions possessed the ball for nearly 42 minutes. The veteran QB has been inconsistent since taking over for an injured Nick Foles (collarbone), so it will be interesting to see how coach Chip Kelly handles that situation late in the year, assuming Foles is healthy enough to play. Next up for Sanchez will be a huge home matchup against the Cowboys.

Sanchez completed 20-of-29 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's victory over the Cowboys. He also added 28 yards and another touchdown on the ground.
Sanchez threw for 99 yards and picked up both his touchdowns in the first quarter, but he was not needed for much after that, as the Eagles were comfortably ahead for most of the contest. Still, he accounted for two touchdowns for the fourth time in five games since taking over for Nick Foles in Week 9. Sanchez has proven he can put up consistent fantasy numbers for the Eegles, but he will challenged in Week 14 by a stout Seattle defense.

Sanchez completed 30-of-43 passes for 307 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 43-24 loss against Tennessee.
For the second straight week, Sanchez posted decent fantasy numbers, while not really playing that well. LeSean McCoy and the rest of Philadelphia's rushing attack bailed him out a bit though, as McCoy and company ran for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Sanchez continues to show a great rapport with rookie Jordan Matthews, who caught 6-of-8 targets for 77 yards. In Week 13, Sanchez will face the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

Sanchez completed 26-of-44 passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 53-20 loss at Green Bay. He also committed four turnovers, throwing two interceptions, while losing a pair of fumbles.
While Sanchez's overall numbers look pretty good from a fantasy perspective, he took a big step back from last week's impressive performance against the Panthers. Two of his turnovers were returned for touchdowns, and he missed several wide-open pass catchers throughout the game. In his defense, the Packers do boast a strong secondary, and Aaron Rodgers was on fire early, tossing two of his three touchdowns in the first half, staking them to a 30-6 lead at halftime. The veteran QB has a favorable matchup next week, facing a mediocre Titans' secondary at home.
Mon Nov 10 201423:51Mark Sanchez: Shines In 1st Philly Start
Sanchez completed 20-of-37 passes for 332 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's 45-21 win over the Panthers.
Sanchez lost one yard on two carries, and the Eagles ran for just 37 yards as a team. No matter, the veteran signal-caller put up plenty of points, with a major assist from the Philadelphia defense and special teams. While not quite perfect, Sanchez made a number of difficult throws and showed surprising awareness in the pocket. He often looked in the direction of rookie Jordan Matthews, who caught 7-of-9 targets for 138 yards and a touchdown. Sanchez admittedly got to ease into things against a porous Carolina defense, but Monday's performance still seems like a sign of good things to come in the Eagles' well-designed offense. Of course, Sanchez will face a much bigger challenge next week, when he travels to Lambeau Field to face a Green Bay team that's excellent at defending the pass. The matchup favors LeSean McCoy and the running game, but the Eagles had nothing going on that front Monday night.

Sanchez's teammate, Nick Foles, is reportedly expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured clavicle, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Sanchez is in line to start at quarterback for the Eagles in Foles' absence, an assignment that makes him a priority add for those who had been rolling with Foles, or who are simply looking to bolster their depth at QB, given the fantasy upside that is attached to helming the Philadelphia offense.

Sanchez's teammate Nick Foles was diagnosed with a broken collarbone after Sunday's 31-21 win over the Texans, CSN Philadelphia's Derrick Gunn reports.
An MRI on Monday is expected to provide clarification on the expected length of Foles' absence, which will presumably span multiple weeks. Sanchez played pretty well in Sunday's game, and Foles has already shown that a quarterback can pile up passing yards in the Philadelphia offense without impressive efficiency stats. Prior to Sunday, Foles was on pace to record the third-most pass attempts (683) in a single season.

Sanchez entered Sunday's game against the Texans in the second quarter after Nick Foles was knocked out with a shoulder injury, and he completed 15 of 22 passes for 202 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a 31-21 win.
Sanchez's first pass was a 52-yard strike to Jeremy Maclin, which began a drive that eventually ended in an 11-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Matthews. Sanchez was decent for the rest of the game, with the two interceptions poor but not overly costly, and his production was capped off with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Maclin with 3:50 left in the game to put the Eagles up 10. The Eagles have not announced any specifics regarding Foles' injury, though head coach Chip Kelly said after the game that "it doesn't look good," before confirming that Foles' arm was in a sling. If Foles is unable to practice this week, Sanchez will get the start in Week 10 against the Panthers.
Fri Aug 22 201413:43Sanchez completed 7-of-9 passes for 85 yards
Sanchez completed 7-of-9 passes for 85 yards, while working in two series during Thursday's preseason contest against the Steelers, csnphilly.com reports.
In three preseason games thus far, Sanchez has looked sharp, completing 25-of-31 passes for 281 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. He's firmly behind Nick Foles on the Eagles' QB depth chart, a role that restricts his current fantasy utility assuming Foles' continued good health. That said, in the event of a Foles injury down the road, Sanchez would be a worthy in-season pickup, if given the chance to helm coach Chip Kelly's offense.
