Thigpen (foot) is listed as probable for Sunday's game in Oakland.
He'll likely return all the punts for the Bills, with a pretty appealing matchup against a Raiders team that's given up an unsightly 11.9 yards per punt return this season.

Thigpen suffered a foot injury in practice this week and was listed as a limited participant for Thursday's practice. Coach Doug Marrone thinks he'll be OK to play Sunday in Oakland, The Buffalo News reports.
Thigpen has been a boon to the Bills' punt return game, becoming the exclusive guy after he was picked up off waivers in late November following a season-ending injury to Leodis McKelvin. His 75-yard score against the Packers on Sunday was a key play in the Bills' upset win.

Thigpen, who was claimed by the Bills in late November after he was waived by Tampa Bay, suited up as the main punt returner for last week's win over Cleveland. He had four returns for an 11.8 average.
With Leodis McKelvin out for the season, it looks like Thigpen is going to be the team's exclusive punt return man, even though his role as sixth receiver will rarely if ever get him on the field otherwise. If your league leans heavily on return yardage. however, take note, as we can't see the Bills wanting to use Fred Jackson or Robert Woods too much on special teams.
Tue Nov 25 201412:12Thigpen released by Buccaneers on Tuesday
Thigpen was released by the Buccaneers on Tuesday, Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Thigpen has struggled in the return game over the past few weeks, so the Bucs simply decided it was time to part ways. Now that their backfield is back to full strength, look for Mike James or Bobby Rainey to return to kick/punt return duty.

Sat Aug 30 201417:28Thigpen released by Dolphins
Thigpen has been released by the Dolphins, ESPN.com reports.
Kept around for his contributions in the return game, Thigpen did himself no favors by muffing a punt in the Dolphins' final preseason contest. After notching a pair of return touchdowns as a 26-year-old rookie in 2012, Thigpen averaged just 7.8 yards per punt return and 22.5 yards per kick return last season, making him one of the least effective return specialists in the league. His role on offense was always minimal, as he has just nine receptions and seven carries through two seasons. Jarvis Landry will likely return punts for Miami, while Landry, Damian Williams and Damien Williams -- yes, two different people -- are all candidates to return kicks.

Marcus Thigpen rushed four times for 10 yards in Week 13 against the Jets.
Thigpen played a limited role behind Lamar Miller and Mike Gillislee. He was targeted just once in the passing game and will likely be the No. 3 back going forward.

Thu Nov 28 201308:30Marcus Thigpen to be Lamar Miller's backup
Marcus Thigpen is expected to be Lamar Miller's backup going forward.
Daniel Thomas (ankle) is out indefinitely. Rookie Mike Gillislee is going to be active for the first time all year, but Thigpen is ahead of him on the depth chart. Usually just a return man, Thigpen has spent three years in the CFL and spent time on the practice squads of the Eagles and Broncos. There's no handcuff appeal here.

Sun Mar 17 201311:29Marcus Thigpen to play old Bush role in 2013
The Palm Beach Post reports that Marcus Thigpen could take over the "Reggie Bush role" in the Dolphins' offense in 2013.
Not in the essence that Thigpen will start or play heavy snaps, but beat writer Ben Volin expects him to line up in the slot and act as a scatback on third downs. Thigpen handled return duties for Miami last season, but he played just 33 snaps on offense. We'd be surprised if he played a big offensive role.

Dolphins signed RB Marcus Thigpen to a reserve/future contract.
After spending time in the camps of the Eagles and Broncos in 2009, Thigpen became the first player in CFL history to score touchdowns five different ways in the same season (punt return, kickoff return, missed field goal return, running, receiving). The Fins will give him a look as a kick returner.
