Wallace Gilberry was one of two 4-3 defensive ends to produce 40 or more "quarterback disruptions" in 2010, according to Pro Football Focus.
Gilberry isn't much of a run defender, so the Chiefs smartly played over 75 percent of his snaps on passing downs. With Glenn Dorsey, Ron Edwards, Tyson Jackson, and Shaun Smith faring much better as run-stoppers, Gilberry fills a much-needed niche in the defensive line rotation. He'll be back on a second-round tender in 2011.
