Lions claimed CB De'Quan Menzie off waivers from the Chiefs.
A 2012 fifth-round pick of the Chiefs, Menzie's rookie season was a wash due to injury. A slot specialist, Menzie is a solid 5-foot-11, 202 pounds, but hast just 4.67 speed. It's why the Chiefs moved him to safety before shifting him back to corner. He's not a bad flier for the DB-needy Lions.

Menzie was graded as the top slot corner in last year's draft by NFL Films' Greg Cosell, but missed the majority of the offseason program with a hamstring injury before an undisclosed ailment cost him all but one game in the preseason.
