Wed Sep 16 201510:06Solomon expected to miss four to six weeks
Solomon, who suffered what is likely a high ankle sprain in the Browns' Week 1 loss against the Jets, is expected to miss four to six weeks, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Solomon's injury occurred on just the fourth play from scrimmage Sunday, and he was later carted from the sideline to the locker room. With the loss of their run-stopping linebacker, the Browns went on to give up 154 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries. In the wake of Solomon's absence, Barkevious Mingo, Nate Orchard, and Armonty Bryant could see more action.

Solomon is listed as a starting outside linebacker on the Browns second "unofficial" preseason depth chart, ESPN Cleveland reports.
Solomon has built a solid rapport with the defensive coaches in Cleveland during camp, but that hasn't translated to something tangible until recently. While Barkevious Mingo deals with a knee injury, Solomon appears to be the favorite for the job opposite Paul Kruger, getting the nod over the likes of Armonty Bryant and Nate Orchard. If he can hang on to this job through the start of the regular season, Solomon's run-blocking ability could make him a reasonable IDP sleeper.

Solomon is taking the majority of first-team reps in the early stages of training camp, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Solomon has always made a sound impression on Mike Pettine and the Cleveland coaching staff, but now he might see a real opportunity to play, as Barkevious Mingo will be sidelined 2-4 weeks with a torn meniscus. If he can hang on to that starting job all the way up to Week 1, there could be some sneaky IDP utility to find here.
Thu Jun 18 201509:53Solomon gaining favor with defensive coaches in Cleveland
Solomon is gaining favor with the defensive coaches in Cleveland, and is expected to play a "lot on run downs," according to Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Solomon has a legitimate chance to press Armonty Bryant for reps as an edge pass rusher as well. The echoed sentiments of the Cleveland reporters surely suggest that the 26-year-old has impressed during camp, and if these early assessments of Solomon hold true, he could find himself approaching the IDP radar heading into the preseason.

The Titans plan to give DE Scott Solomon a "long look" at strong-side linebacker.
A 2012 seventh-rounder, Solomon played just 169 snaps as a rookie, grading out as well-below average in Pro Football Focus' ratings. The Titans viewed Solomon as a potential nickel rusher, but he's probably best suited to special teams.

Seventh-round DE Scott Solomon has made the Titans, but will undergo a knee scope.
The Titans must be really found of the former Rice Owl. He could see snaps as a nickel rusher upon his return, but will likely be a frequent game-day inactive.
