The Dallas Police Department has confirmed that Cowboys practice squad OLB Jerry Brown has died as a result of teammate Josh Brent driving drunk and flipping his car early Saturday morning.

Brown was the passenger in the car, and Brent has been booked in Irving (TX) County jail on charges of intoxicated manslaughter. Brown was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Colts this year and appeared in one regular season game prior to being waived and subsequently signed to the Dallas practice squad.
