Floyd notched one reception (on three targets) for 15 yards during Sunday's dominating win in Detroit.
Floyd received a generous allotment of snaps -- 32 of 46, according to Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix -- and the usage lines up with his usage from the previous contest, when he also logged 70 percent of the offensive snaps. Often, a 42-17 final allows all skill-position players an opportunity to get in on the party, but consistently short fields and a health ground game capped the Cardinals at 171 passing yards. Through five outings, Floyd has found moderate success only once -- five catches for 59 yards on seven targets in Week 4 -- as Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown are seemingly entrenched as Carson Palmer's top receiving options.

Floyd made five receptions (on seven targets) for 59 yards during Sunday's defeat to the Rams.
Floyd translated a season-high 70 percent of the offensive snaps -- 52 of 74, according to Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix -- into his most stat-laden line of the current campaign. The delay in any outburst to date has been the result of dislocated fingers suffered on Aug. 5, which wiped out the entire preseason slate. However, he was able to take the field in Week 1, building up his snap count in the meantime (15 percent in Week 1, 66 percent in Week 2, and 41 percent last Sunday). His Week 4 performance could be a sign of things to come, but Larry Fitzgerald (37 targets), John Brown (27), and rookie running back David Johnson (17) have so far outpaced Floyd (14) in the target department.

Floyd tallied one reception (on five targets) for 12 yards during Sunday's victory versus the 49ers.
After missing most of training camp and the entire preseason due to dislocated fingers, Floyd has yet to play a consistent role in the offense through three games. In the season opener, he rarely took the field -- 15 percent of the Cardinals' offense snaps -- which bumped to 66 percent last Sunday. According to Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix, Floyd fell back to 31 of 76 (41 percent) in Week 3, but his targets surpassed one for the first time in the current campaign. Floyd may take a bit more time to acclimate, but Larry Fitzgerald's fast start to the season (23 catches for 333 yards and five touchdowns) will likely impact opposing game plans as the season proceeds, thereby providing additional opportunities for the likes of Floyd and John Brown.

Floyd (fingers) wasn't listed on the Cardinals' injury report Wednesday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
After building up his conditioning over the first two weeks of the season, Floyd has avoided the injury report for the first time, alluding to the relative health of his previously dislocated fingers. He followed up a muted showing in the opener (15 percent of the Cardinals' offensive snaps) with 39 of 59 such snaps in Week 2, but he failed to notch his second catch of 2015 on only one target. So far, Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown have headed the wide receiver corps, but Floyd will attempt to make his presence felt Sunday against the 49ers.
Sun Sep 20 201511:44Floyd (fingers) active for Sunday's game at Chicago
Floyd (fingers) is active for Sunday's game at Chicago, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
With full practices under his belt all week, Floyd is poised for a considerable uptick in his share of the offensive snaps, of which he handled just 14.5 percent (nine of 62) in the season opener. He could challenge Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown for reps at wideout, but the Cardinals' relative receiving depth may be a hindrance to Floyd's output.
Fri Sep 18 201519:05Floyd (fingers) probable for Sunday's game against Bears
Floyd (fingers) is probable for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Although his Week 2 availability was never in doubt, Floyd does still carry some uncertainty regarding his role in the Arizona offense, after playing just nine of 62 offensive snaps in the regular-season opener. He'll presumably get more playing time in Sunday's favorable matchup with the Bears, but John Brown may still get most of the snaps in two-wide formations.
Wed Sep 16 201520:38Michael Floyd: (Finger) Full Practice Wednesday
Floyd (finger) practiced in full Wednesday, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
After limited showings all of last week, Floyd was without restrictions in the first iteration of drills in preparation for Week 2. As his conditioning improves and hand continues to strengthen, his workload will certainly increase from the nine of 62 offensive snaps that he logged in Sunday's opener against the Saints.

Floyd (fingers) played just nine of 62 offensive snaps in Sunday's win versus the Saints, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
After hauling in Carson Palmer's second pass of the game, Floyd wasn't targeted among his 30 remaining throws, as the Cardinals reverted to two tight-end sets with Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown handling the bulk of the wideout reps. Floyd was limited in practice last week, so a bump to full practice at some point in advance of Sunday's contest at Chicago would imply that he's in line for a return to normalcy.
Sun Sep 13 201514:35Michael Floyd: (Fingers) Active Sunday
Floyd (fingers) is listed as active Sunday against the Saints, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports.
Although he was limited in practice in the lead-up to the opener, Floyd never waned in his confidence to take the field immediately to start the season. The Cardinals boast plenty of depth at wideout, though, as Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown are present to fulfill the needs of the passing attack.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport indicates that Floyd (fingers) is poised to suit up for Sunday's regular season opener against the Saints.
Official confirmation, either way, will arrive as the Cardinals' 4:05 ET kickoff approaches, but at this stage it looks like Floyd -- who dislocated three fingers last month -- is inclined to give it a go on Sunday. Assuming that's the case, it's unclear how heavily he'll be targeted in Week 1, while coming off his injury and with fellow wideouts Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown also on hand.
Fri Sep 11 201516:35Michael Floyd: (Fingers) Officially Questionable
Floyd (fingers) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
According to Urban, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is optimistic about Floyd's status, even though the wide receiver is expected to be a game-time decision after logging limited practices throughout the week. Floyd appears better than 50-50 to suit up, and while the matchup is favorable, he's part of a crowded wide receiver corps that also includes Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown.
Thu Sep 10 201517:54Michael Floyd: (Fingers) Limited Again Thursday
Floyd (hamstring) was a limited participant at Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Floyd has experienced no change in activity level from the first practice of the week, though he did take part in drills with the hands team Thursday. With that encouraging experience behind him, the wideout will continue to build toward an appearance in Sunday's season opener against the Saints.
Wed Sep 9 201518:43Floyd (finger) limited in practice Wednesday
Floyd (finger) was limited in practice Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Making an appearance at practice is the first step in Floyd's quest for active status in Week 1. In order to be an effective pass catcher, he likely still needs to build some dexterity in his left hand, which could afflict his ability to get on the field Sunday against the Saints. No matter, Friday's injury report should provide the final word on the matter.
Tue Sep 8 201515:24Michael Floyd: (Fingers) Expected To Practice Wednesday
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Tuesday that Floyd (fingers) will return to practice Wednesday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 AM reports.
Floyd hasn't practiced since Aug. 5, but if he gets in a full session by the end of the week, he'll be in good shape to suit up for Sunday's opener against the Saints. It still won't be surprising if he's listed as questionable, and the Cardinals may not provide any further information besides the required Wednesday-Friday injury reports. If he plays, Floyd may split snaps with the emerging John Brown in two-wide formations.
Tue Sep 8 201514:26Floyd (fingers) not practicing Tuesday
Floyd (fingers) is not practicing Tuesday, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports.
Floyd still hasn't returned to practice since dislocating three fingers Aug. 5, but Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said the wideout may be available for Week 1 against the Saints. If Floyd ultimately sits, John Brown will likely get most of the snaps in two-wide formations, with J.J. Nelson and/or Jaron Brown also candidates for a few added opportunities. Even if Floyd plays, John Brown could get a good chunk of the snaps in two-wide sets.

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Friday that Floyd (fingers) may be available for Week 1 against the Saints, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Although he finally resumed catching passes earlier this week, Floyd said himself that he has no clue if he'll be ready for Week 1. Head coach Bruce Arians has consistently been optimistic for the last couple weeks, but it does seem likely that Floyd will be listed as questionable. If Floyd can't go, John Brown will get the nod in two-wide sets, with J.J. Nelson and/or Jaron Brown also potentially getting some extra snaps. Even though the Cardinals make heavy use of three-wide formations, John Brown looks like a serious threat to Floyd's workload, both in terms of snaps and targets.
Thu Sep 3 201513:23Michael Floyd: (Finger) Has Started Catching Again
Floyd (finger) has commenced catching passes, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Regarding an appearance at practice, Floyd said, "I don't really know yet. They never gave me no set date. It's kinda day-to-day as you can say it."
Floyd's next showing at practice would mark his first since dislocating three fingers on his left hand on Aug. 5. In the meantime, he's followed his rehab to a T and was even able to haul in some light throws during Tuesday's practice, with the aim of returning for the regular season opener on Sept. 13 versus the Saints.
Wed Aug 26 201514:43Michael Floyd: (Fingers) Could Play In Week 1
Head coach Bruce Arians wouldn't be surprised if Floyd (fingers) plays in Week 1 against the Saints, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports.
On Wednesday, Arians relayed that Floyd's recovery from three dislocated fingers on his left hand is going well, but the wideout has so far been contained to conditioning work. There has been no indication when Floyd may return to practice, which is likely one of the conditions he must meet before suiting up for a game.
Tue Aug 18 201516:43Floyd (fingers) had stitches removed Tuesday
Floyd (fingers) had his stitches removed Tuesday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 AM reports.
Floyd dislocated three fingers Aug. 5, so it isn't simply a matter of allowing the laceration to heal. He seems to be making good progress, but with an initial timetable of three-to-six weeks he's no lock to be ready for Week 1. John Brown and J.J. Nelson have received extra first-team reps in Floyd's absence.
Thu Aug 13 201520:34Michael Floyd: (Fingers) Conditioning Work Thursday
Floyd (fingers) fit in some conditioning work after Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Included within Floyd's regimen were a handful of 100-yard jogs, but his mere presence on the field was welcome, as it marked his first appearance since sustaining three dislocated fingers on Wednesday, Aug. 12. With a wide range of return dates -- between three and six weeks from the initial injury -- his ability to play in Week 1 is likely contingent upon the healing process and if any dexterity in his hands was lost along the way.
