The Texans activated Browner off the practice squad, the Houston Chronicle reports.

An undrafted free agent out of California, has yet to appear in a regular-season game after three seasons on the practice squad. With Houston placing Tim Jamison (knee) on injured reserve, Browner joins rookie Jeffrey Pagan as backups to defensive ends J.J. Watt and Jared Crick.
