Though Forsett had his ankle rolled up on in Sunday's loss to the Browns, coach John Harbaugh relayed Monday that "it's not a high-ankle" sprain that the running back is dealing with, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Per Harbaugh, "that's a good sign. That gives him a chance for this week." Forsett's status will thus be worth monitoring closely as Sunday's game against the 49ers approaches, with Javorius Allen a candidate for added work in Week 6 if Forsett ends up being limited or out this Sunday.

Forsett ran for 121 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries in Sunday's loss to Cleveland. He added four catches off of five targets for 49 yards. He suffered an injury to his right leg in the fourth quarter, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Forsett was able to walk off the field, but did not return to play and needs further evaluation before the extent of his injury can be known. Fingers are crossed in Baltimore that his injury won't keep him out of action as he's been one of the few bright spots on a Ravens offense without many weapons. After averaging just 41.3 yards per game during the season's first three weeks, Forsett has dashed for 271 yards in Weeks 4 and 5, averaging 5.6 yards per carry. He also ranks second on the team with 16 catches.

Forsett gained 150 yards on 27 carries in Thursday's 23-20 overtime win over the Steelers.

Forsett only drew one target and didn't catch any passes, yet he still managed to put the Baltimore offense on his back, with the offensive line also playing easily its best game of the season. Lorenzo Taliaferro and Javorius Allen mixed in, but mostly just to give Forsett the occasional breather. Forsett could be in for another big game in Week 5, with the Ravens drawing a home matchup against a Cleveland team that's been terrible against the run for a second straight year.

Forsett struggled mightily against the Bengals on Sunday, rushing 10 times for just 13 yards and gaining 16 additional yards on four receptions.

The Ravens were quick to abandon the run Sunday, as they averaged just two yards per carry as a team and were down early, but Forsett was extremely disappointing on the touches he received. The 29-year-old, who is now averaging 3.1 yards per carry and just 3.4 yards per reception though three games, seemingly just hasn't had the room to create any big plays. Things won't get any easier, as the Ravens will face a Steelers defense in Week 4 that has allowed an average of 67 rushing yards per game this season.

Lorenzo Taliaferro, making his 2015 debut, played just eight fewer snaps than Forsett in Sunday's 37-33 loss to the Raiders, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun.

With the Ravens trailing for most of the game and Joe Flacco attempting 45 passes, it was surprising to see Lorenzo Taliaferro play nearly as many snaps as Forsett. Taliaferro is expected to get most of the goal-line and short-yardage work, but it appears he's a bigger threat to the rest of Forsett's workload than previously believed. Forsett played 42 snaps in Sunday's loss, compared to 34 for Taliaferro and six for rookie Javorius Allen.

Forsett (shoulder) had 15 carries for 68 yards and caught all four of his targets for 12 yards in Sunday's loss at Oakland.

Forsett had better production than Week 1, although Lorenzo Taliaferro scored a touchdown from inside the 10-yard line Sunday. He'll look to score his first touchdown of the season in Week 3 against Cincinnati.

Forsett (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Forsett is out there Sunday, as expected, with Lorenzo Taliaferro back in the Ravens' backup RB mix in Week 2, along with Javorius Allen.

Forsett (shoulder) is probable for Sunday's game in Oakland, CSN Bay Area reports.

Forsett logged full practices Thursday and Friday, following Wednesday's limited session. He's locked in as the Ravens' lead back, but with Lorenzo Taliaferro (knee) listed as probable, Forsett won't necessarily get the goal-line and short-yardage work.

Forsett (shoulder) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.

Forsett was limited Wednesday, but his availability for Sunday's game in Oakland doesn't seem to be in question. He may, however, have some added competition for touches, with Lorenzo Taliaferro (knee) also a full participant Thursday. Forsett's locked in as the lead back, but Taliafero may get some of the early-down work, potentially including goal-line and short-yardage carries.

Forsett (shoulder) was limited at practice Wednesday.

More on Forsett's status no later than Thursday, but at this stage there has been nothing to suggest that his status for Sunday's game against the Raiders is in any danger.

Forsett rushed for 43 yards on 14 carries and chipped in four receptions for 13 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Denver.

Forsett didn't have much room to work with on Sunday as Denver controlled the line of scrimmage and took the deep ball away with their pass rush. Losing starting left tackle Eugene Monroe early in the game to a concussion didn't help matters. Forsett was seen as an early-round pick in many drafts due in large part to him being the primary ball carrier behind an excellent offensive line. Sunday's performance, while disappointing, did nothing to change that.

Forsett had two carries for three yards in Thursday's preseason opener against the Saints.

Forsett only played a few snaps before giving way to Lorenzo Taliaferro and Javorious Allen. Forsett is locked in as the lead back and will likely start the season with a three-down role, but the Ravens may also make a concerted effort to involve Taliaferro and/or Allen in the offense.

Forsett and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh both suggested that the 29-year-old running back's role in the passing game will expand under new offensive coordinator Marc Trestman, Ravens' official website reports.

Forsett's versatility is arguably his greatest strength, as he makes up for his lack of size and elusiveness with a combination of quickness, vision, receiving skills and strong pass-blocking. He only caught 44 passes last season, but he has the ability to do much more, and Matt Forte set an NFL running back record with 102 receptions while playing for OC Marc Trestman last season. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Baltimore running backs will be more involved in the passing game this year, but rookie fourth-round draft pick Javorius Allen is a strong receiver who could steal some targets from Forsett. It still seems quite likely that Forsett will improve upon last season's modest receiving numbers.

The Ravens drafted Javorius Allen in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft to compete for a backup role behind Forsett, the Ravens' official website reports.

Coming off a breakout season, with a new three-year contract in hand, Forsett figures to lead the Baltimore backfield in 2015. There was some concern that the team might use an early draft pick on a running back, and while Javorius Allen is a threat to steal some touches, the rookie already admitted that he expects to start off as a backup. It is somewhat concerning for Forsett owners that Allen has strong receiving skills, as Forsett was previously the Ravens' only pass-catching threat out of the backfield. The other guy in the mix for touches is 2014 fourth-round selection Lorenzo Taliaferro, who is more of a one-dimensional bruiser. Allen is the bigger threat to Forsett's value, especially in dynasty formats.

Forsett has agreed to a three-year contract to remain with the Ravens, the team's official site reports.

The 29-year-old Forsett provided the Ravens' ground game with an unexpected boost last season, as he racked up 1,266 rushing yards (on 235 carries) to go along with eight touchdowns. Retaining Forsett, who also caught 44 passes for 263 yards in 2014, helps the Baltimore ground game maintain valuable continuity, while the team's passing attack has bid adieu to the likes of Torrey Smith, Owen Daniels and Jacoby Jones.

Forsett had 24 carries for 129 yards in addition to two catches for 17 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 35-31 playoff loss to the Patriots.

Forsett was outstanding in this game, demonstrating remarkable patience and vision on a number of runs to help Baltimore sustain four touchdown drives. He is now set to hit unrestricted free agency, where it will be interesting to see how teams assess his outstanding 2014 campaign in light of his age (29) and lackluster career numbers.

Forsett ran 16 times for 26 yards and caught one pass for seven yards in Saturday's playoff victory over the Steelers. He also lost a fumble in the game for the first time all season.

Forsett saw ample touches Saturday, but he had a disappointing night from a fantasy standpoint in all formats. He will get a chance to get back on track next week against New England, but scoring a touchdown will be a stretch: he has scored just once since Week 12, and the Patriots has allowed just one rushing touchdown since their Week 10 bye.

Forsett had 17 carries for 119 yards, adding two receptions for 17 yards on four targets, in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Steelers.

Forsett slowed down over the last few games of the season while dealing with a minor knee injury. A matchup with the NFL's 32nd-ranked run defense proved to be just what the doctor ordered, allowing Forsett to hit the 100-yard plateau for the first time since Week 13. He now gets a decent matchup in Pittsburgh for the first round of the playoffs, so he'll have at least one more chance to build up his value for free agency. The Ravens are presumably interested in retaining Forsett's services, but the team always has a tight cap situation, and is unlikely to break the bank for a 29-year-old journeyman running back. Forsett finished the year with 235 carries for 1,266 yards (5.4 YPC) and eight touchdowns, adding 44 receptions for 263 yards.

Forsett gained 19 yards on 10 carries, adding four yards on 13 receptions, in Sunday's 25-13 loss to the Texans.

Forsett had a massively disappointing game for the second straight week, and while the breakout running back isn't entirely absolved of blame, his previously excellent offensive line is suddenly looking like a weakness. Adding to the problem, Baltimore lost both of its starting tackles to injury during the second half of Sunday's game. Forsett gets an excellent Week 17 matchup with the Browns, but his stock has taken a hit the last couple of weeks. Also worth noting: Forsett briefly exited Sunday's game with an ankle injury.

Forsett gained 48 yards on 16 carries, and lost one yard on one reception, in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Jaguars.

The Baltimore offensive line turned in arguably its worst effort of the season from a run-blocking perspective, as Forsett rarely had anywhere to go. Bernard Pierce did manage 37 yards on six carries, but with 28 of those coming on a long run toward the end of the game. The Ravens have consistently cleared out holes for Forsett throughout the season, so it's fair to expect a better outing in Week 16 against the Texans.
