Wed Nov 9 202200:51Twins Decline Dylan Bundy's Club Option Monday
The Minnesota Twins declined starting pitcher Dylan Bundy's $11 million club option Monday, per MLB's Do-Hyoung Park. The option included a $1 million buyout. The 29-year-old turned in some strong starts in 2022 but ended the season with a disappointing 8-8 record, 4.89 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 15.8% strikeout rate in 29 starts and 140 innings pitched. The former prospect has never lived up to expectations, serving as a point of frustration for fantasy managers. Now a free agent, Bundy will look for a new opportunity with a team in need of rotation help.

Tue May 17 202213:37Dylan Bundy Reinstated From COVID Injured List
The Minnesota Twins reinstated starting pitcher Dylan Bundy from the COVID-19 injured list on Tuesday and designated right-hander Jharel Cotton for assignment in a corresponding move. Bundy has missed the team's last 10 games since going on the COVID list on May 6. In his five starts this year, the right-hander has gone 3-2 with a 5.76 ERA with five walks and 22 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched. Bundy will make the start in his return against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday, and because he'll likely be on a limited pitch count due to the length of his absence, fantasy managers should look for better streaming options.

Mon May 16 202221:22Dylan Bundy Expected Back Tuesday
Minnesota Twins right-hander Dylan Bundy (illness) is expected to start for his team against the Oakland A's on Tuesday. Bundy has been on the injured list since he came down with COVID-19 early in May. The veteran right-hander draws a plus assignment against Oakland on Tuesday, but he may not work very deep into the contest in his first game back. Bundy has compiled a 3-2 record, 5.76 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts over 25 innings of work in 2022.

Fri May 13 202211:44Dylan Bundy Likely To Start On Saturday
Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Dylan Bundy is expected to make the start against the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday. Bundy has been sidelined since May 5 after testing positive for COVID-19. Luckily, the right-hander has cleared the league's health and safety protocols, so he is eligible to return. He is posting a 5.76 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 22/5 K/BB ratio over five starts with Minnesota. Fantasy managers can probably avoid Bundy as a streaming option for Saturday's slate.

Thu May 5 202220:54Dylan Bundy, Luis Arraez Test Positive For COVID-19
Minnesota Twins pitcher Dylan Bundy and infielder Luis Arraez tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. Jayce Tingler also tested positive for the virus. Bundy, Arraez, and Tingler are expected to be placed on the injured list and will quarantine away from the team. Bundy's next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Houston Astros is up in the air, and he will have to clear MLB protocols before returning to the team. Arraez and Tingler will be away from the team and be eligible to return once they clear protocols. Jose Miranda should see an uptick in at-bats while Arraez is out. Miranda is off to a slow start and is hitting .077 (1-for-13) in his big league career.

Thu Sep 9 202111:06Dylan Bundy Throws Bullpen Wednesday
Los Angeles Angels right-hander Dylan Bundy (shoulder) completed a bullpen session on Wednesday. It was his first bullpen since landing on the injured list on August 25 with a right shoulder strain, and he's set to throw another on Saturday. According to Jeff Fletcher of the Southern California News Group, Bundy expects to be back on the mound for the Angels before the season's end. If he does return, he should stay off the radars of fantasy managers, as he's posted a 6.06 ERA with a 21.2 K% and 8.6 BB% over 23 appearances, 19 of which were starts.

Wed Aug 25 202119:47Dylan Bundy Placed On Injured List With Shoulder Strain
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a right shoulder strain, the team announced on Twitter. Bundy had struggled in his outing on Tuesday, allowing one run on one hit and three walks with three strikeouts over 1 1/3 innings of work against the Orioles. It's been a rough year overall for Bundy, who has gone 2-9 with a 6.06 ERA, 1.357 WHIP and 21.2 percent strikeout rate over 90 2/3 innings of work. Given this type of injury, it's entirely possible Bundy's season could be over.

Wed Aug 25 202111:05Dylan Bundy Doesn't Escape The Second Inning
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy couldn't get out of the second inning during Tuesday's 14-8 victory against the Baltimore Orioles. He allowed three of the first four batters to reach base in the second inning before getting the hook. Overall, he went 1.1 innings, giving up one run, three walks, and collecting one strikeout. The poor start added to his meagre season, posting a 6.06 ERA with a 21.2 K%. He's really struggled with the long ball this year, surrendering 1.99 HR/9. Fantasy managers should stay away from Bundy when possible and keep him on the waiver wire.

Wed Aug 18 202110:40Dylan Bundy Grinds Tuesday
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy kept his team in the ball game Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers, giving up two runs in 4.2 innings. He struck out three, walked two, and didn't allow a home run. It's the third time in his last four starts in which he couldn't complete five innings. He now has a 6.04 ERA with 81 strikeouts, 31 walks, and 19 home runs surrendered in 89.1 innings. However, since moving back to the rotation on July 29, his ERA is down to 3.72, albeit with a 4.57 FIP. Bundy doesn't go deep enough into games to be rostered in most leagues, but he can be streamed in favorable matchups.

Thu Aug 12 202113:39Dylan Bundy Pulled In Fifth Inning
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy (2-9) was unable to complete five innings during Wednesday's 10-2 blowout loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. Bundy went four innings with two strikeouts and no walks, allowing three earned runs. He started the fifth inning but gave up a lead-off double and was quickly removed. Bundy gave up two home runs in the game, which mirrored his season thus far, in which he's surrendered 2.02 HR/9. As well, he has a 6.17 ERA, with 78 strikeouts and 29 walks over 84.2 innings and 17 starts. Fantasy managers who have held onto Bundy were hoping that a return to the rotation would jump-start his season but has completed five innings only once in three starts since, that coming against the lowly Texas Rangers. He is irrelevant in almost every league and is safe to drop.

Fri Aug 6 202111:08Dylan Bundy Earns Second Win Of Season
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy (2-8) got his second win of the year on Thursday against the Texas Rangers. He threw 6.1 shutout innings with six strikeouts and no walks. It was his first start of six or more innings since May 2. Bundy's had a disappointing year thus far, pitching to a 6.14 ERA with a 21.5 K%, 8.2 BB%, and has allowed 17 HRs in 80.2 innings. It was a good sign to see Bundy keep the Rangers at bay, even with their weak lineup, and it may bring up his confidence a bit for the rest of the year. Bundy will need to show that he can repeat his good performance against better offenses before he becomes a waiver wire option. But fantasy managers who held onto Bundy can continue to do so and monitor his next couple of starts.

Tue Aug 3 202111:15Dylan Bundy Starting Thursday's Game
Los Angeles Angels right-hander Dylan Bundy will start on Thursday against the Texas Rangers, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports. Bundy last started on July 29, going 4.1 IP, giving up three runs with four walks to just two strikeouts. It was his first start since moving to the bullpen at the end of June. Originally, Dylan Bundy seemed to replace Alex Cobb (finger) in the rotation, but after the promotion of Reid Detmers and Chris Rodriguez, it's unclear how many more chances he will get. To secure a rotation spot, he will need to improve on his 6.66 ERA, 21.3 K%, and 8.2 BB% this season. He is droppable in most formats, but fantasy managers who haven't given up on Bundy can continue waiting for him to improve his numbers if there's enough room on the roster.

Fri Jul 30 202109:57Dylan Bundy Struggles In Spot Start
Los Angeles right-hander Dylan Bundy (1-8) didn't get the results he wanted in Thursday's 4-0 defeat to the Oakland Athletics. He went 4.1 innings, giving up three runs, four walks, and he struck out two. This was Bundy's first start since moving to the bullpen after disappointing results as a starter, but he made a spot start amidst Alex Cobb's blister. He now has a 6.66 ERA with 70 strikeouts and 27 walks in 74.1 innings. Fantasy managers should expect Dylan Bundy to return to the bullpen once Cobb returns, assuming the Angels don't sell at the deadline. If they do move a starter or two, Bundy should stay in the rotation.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Luis Patiño outpitched Gerrit Cole, Brett Phillips hit a grand slam during a 10-run sixth inning, and the Tampa Bay Rays avoided a three-game sweep by routing the New York Yankees 14-0 on Thursday. Cole (10-6) gave up a season-high eight runs — seven earned — on six hits over 5 1/3 innings and saw his ERA jump from 2.74 to 3.11. He had 10 strikeouts and two walks. Wed Jul 28 202109:26Dylan Bundy Could Start This Week
Los Angeles right-hander Dylan Bundy has been considered to make a start this week, Angels manager Joe Maddon said. Dylan Bundy was moved to the bullpen late last month after struggling to find consistency as a starter. The move hasn't paid off for him, as he's thrown five innings while giving up four runs as a reliever. Overall, he's pitched to a meager 6.69 ERA and his strikeout rate is down to 22.0% after a 27.0 K% in 2020. Fantasy managers who held onto Bundy will hope a move back to the rotation will get Bundy back on track. If the struggles continue, they should feel safe letting him go.

Mon Jul 12 202123:19Baseball All-Star Game becomes Greatest Sho on Earth
DENVER (AP) — As five dozen All-Stars sat outside Coors Field ahead of the All-Star Game, they looked forward to the Greatest Sho on Earth. Shohei Ohtani is the starriest of them all, the center of attention for players and fans like no one before at baseball's midsummer classic. Fans cheered when he was introduced Monday at a news conference located outdoors, across the street from Coors Field due to the pandemic. He competed in Monday night's Home Derby and will start on the mound for the American League in Tuesday night's All-Star Game and hit leadoff as the designated hitter. Ohtani is doing just about everything other than mow the grass and solve the ballpark's mile-high hitter-friendly air currents. “People always say, ‘Oh no, he can’t do that,’ until the guy goes out and does it,” said Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, who won his second straight derby. “And then, when he does do it, it’s like, ‘Oh, we knew it the whole time.’” A 27-year-old in his fourth major league season with the...
