Tue Jun 5 201211:00Saints sign CB Elbert Mack to one-year deal
Saints agreed to terms with CB Elbert Mack, formerly of the Bucs, on a one-year contract.
Mack visited the Saints in April. An undrafted free agent in 2008, Mack has appeared in at least 12 games each of the past four seasons, but made only four starts. Mack is a big hitter who is proficient against the run, but has always been a liability in coverage. He'll be lucky to secure dime duties in New Orleans.

Wed Apr 21 201012:24Bucs retain ERFA Elbert Mack
Bucs re-signed exclusive rights free agent CB Elbert Mack.
Mack, 24 in July, saw too much action as Tampa Bay's nickel back last year, struggling badly in pass coverage and doing little to help the Bucs' awful run defense. He did have three picks, but ideally would be no more than a dime back moving forward. The Bucs need badly to draft a corner on Friday.
