Talib is the definition of a ball-hawk, having picked off eight passes in the last two seasons and 27 for his career, making him a decent fantasy IDP option, particularly after his career-high 64 tackles last season.

Talib (left hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, ESPN.com reports.
Talib returned to a limited practice Friday, but at this stage, he's not a lock to play this week, which makes rolling with him in IDP formats a risk, given the Broncos' Sunday night kickoff.

Talib had two tackles and an interception during Sunday's win over the 49ers.
Talib has now picked off a pass in back-to-back games, matching his total from 2011 and doubling his 2012 and 2013 output. Quarterbacks just don't throw at him very often, which ends up limiting his opportunity to pick off passes, which is really his greatest fantasy asset, as he's not a high-volume tackler.

Talib had four tackles and returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Jets.
New York got the ball back with 56 seconds left and needing a touchdown to tie, but on third-and-14, Talib picked off Geno Smith and took it to the house to give the Broncos a 14-point win. It was Talib's first interception of the season, and while he could be good for a few more, he's a fairly speculative fantasy play due to his low tackle totals (19 through five games).

Talib had two tackles during Sunday's preseason game against the 49ers.
Talib will be the Broncos' top cornerback this season, although the other side of the field has some question marks, with Chris Harris returning from a torn ACL, and rookie Bradley Roby competing with Kayvon Webster (ankle) for playing time. If opponents decide to exploit the weaknesses on the other side of the field, Talib could be left with few passes to defend.

Sun Jun 29 201411:11Aqib Talib arrested for public intoxication
Broncos CB Aqib Talib was arrested for public intoxication Saturday night in Dallas.
Talib was escorted out of Club Syn at about 1:45 AM after a "disturbance." He was allegedly throwing bottles in the club and "causing a danger to himself and others." It's Talib's first off-field issue since receiving a four-game ban for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs in October 2012.

Thu Mar 13 201423:26Only $11.5M of Talib's deal fully guaranteed
USA Today reports Aqib Talib's "six,-year, $57 million contract" could end up as a one-year, $12 million deal.
Only $11.5 million of the deal is truly guaranteed. Another $500,000 is available for 2014 through per-game roster bonuses. Talib's 2015 and 2016 salaries are guaranteed for "injury only," meaning that, barring a career-ending injury, the Broncos could theoretically move on next offseason. Doing so would incur a $4 million cap hit. It's unlikely to happen, but as is often the case, deals are trumped up in the early days of free agency.

Tue Mar 11 201423:18Broncos net Talib on 6-year, $57M blockbuster
Broncos signed CB Aqib Talib to a six-year, $57 million contract with $26 million guaranteed.
Denver attacked its secondary on the first day of free agency, landing Talib and top strong safety T.J. Ward. Talib, 28, has gotten his act together off the field in recent seasons and when healthy is a top-five press-man corner in the game. Look for DC Jack Del Rio to utilize him in shadow coverage of opposing No. 1 receivers. The Broncos have drafted well under GM John Elway, have a lot of salary cap space to show for it with so many players on cheap rookie deals, and Peyton Manning has 1-2 years left. We can't blame them for going all in.

Mon Mar 10 201415:21Redskins to sign Aqib Talib?
ESPN's John Clayton's "early prediction" is the Redskins will sign free agent CB Aqib Talib.
It's growing clearer and clearer that the Skins are simply going to outbid the Patriots for Talib. That would allow New England to focus its efforts on re-signing Julian Edelman. Talib is likely staring at $10 million a year.

Sun Mar 9 201418:52Redskins express interest in Aqib Talib
The Washington Post confirms the Redskins have "expressed interest" in free agent CB Aqib Talib.
There are many connections for Talib in D.C.; DBs coach Raheem Morris was his head coach in Tampa Bay, and GM Bruce Allen drafted Talib when Allen was the Buccaneers' GM in 2008. Per the Post, Talib is "believed to be seeking a contract that would pay him $9 million to $10 million a season." A league insider told the paper the Redskins want to "make a statement at DB" this offseason.

Sat Mar 8 201416:32Redskins a possible landing spot for Talib
ESPN.com's John Keim considers the Redskins a possible landing spot for free agent Aqib Talib.
Talib has ties to secondary coach Raheem Morris, but wouldn't be a great fit with outside corners DeAngelo Hall and David Amerson both under contract. Washington may be better suited to make a run at Captain Munnerlyn for his ability to play the slot. Talib is reportedly looking to be paid as a "top-of-the-market" corner and could command over $8 million annually.

Wed Mar 5 201408:54Aqib Talib wants 'top of market' corner money
A source tells the Boston Herald that free agent Aqib Talib wants to be paid as a top-of-the-market corner.
As he should. Talib is entering his age-28 season and was the Patriots' most valuable defender last year, consistently dominating opposing No. 1 wideouts as a shadow corner. Brent Grimes is going on 31 and just got a four-year, $32 million deal from the Dolphins that included $16 million guaranteed. Although Talib has some off-field issues and a nagging hip concern, he's not going to hurt for leverage once he hits the open market. He was our No. 2 corner coming into free agency, behind only Grimes.
