The hamstring injury Dawson sustained in Week 3 sounds like it was of the Grade 3 variety. The Titans didn't want to tie up a roster spot for him, so he's gone and Pannel Egboh is in as a rotational end.

Dawson figures to play end in the Lions' 4-3 scheme. The 2007 seventh-round pick played in all 16 games for the Colts last year, recording 31 tackles and no sacks.

Keyunta Dawson and Eric Foster are candidates to replace Raheem Brock, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Fili Moala, the team's second-round pick in 2009, doesn't appear ready yet. Foster is dealing with some legal issues now, but will probably be the Colts' best option if he can avoid league discipline. The Colts are also expected to address the defensive line in this week's NFL draft.
