Tamme (concussion) led the Falcons with eight catches for 94 yards on 10 targets Sunday against the Redskins.
The veteran tight end was heavily involved in the team's game plan alongside Julio Jones while the team's secondary receivers like Leonard Hankerson and Roddy White were marginalized. It's tough to see this level of volume as the beginning of a trend rather than a one-week quirk considering Tamme's unimpressive numbers coming into this contest.
Sun Oct 11 201511:28Tamme (concussion) active Sunday against Washington
Tamme (concussion) is active Sunday against Washington.
Tamme was unable to play last week due to the head injury, but he cleared through concussion protocol and practiced fully this past week. Despite the active status, Julio Jones and Leonard Hankerson are still likely to dominate the targets from quarterback Matt Ryan, even with Jones battling a hamstring injury.

Tamme (concussion) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against Washington after practicing fully all week.
Tamme is on track to return to action in Week 5, though we'd like to see him turn in a full and productive game before recommending as a fantasy lineup option.
Fri Oct 2 201514:05Tamme (concussion) ruled out for Sunday's game against Texans
Tamme (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Levine Toilolo will likely step in as the primary tight end in an offense that mostly ignores the position. Tamme has eight catches and 11 targets in three games, after Toilolo caught just 31 passes on 54 targets as a 16-game starter last year.
Tue Sep 29 201514:22Tamme (head) going through concussion protocol
Tamme (head) is going through the concussion protocol, ESPN's Vaughn McClure reports.
With initial fears of a concussion confirmed, Tamme may not be ready for Week 4 against the Texans, which would leave Levine Toilolo as the likely starting tight end. The two tight ends have accounted for just 10 of their team's 77 receptions through three games.
Sun Sep 27 201514:16Evaluated For Concussion
Tamme is being evaluated for a concussion, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
While Tamme is out, Levine Toilolo will take over tight end duties for the Falcons. Tamme had one reception for eight yards against the Cowboys before exiting the game.
Mon Sep 21 201520:39Tamme caught four balls for 77 yards in Sunday's win over Giants
Tamme caught four balls for 77 yards in Sunday's win over the Giants.
Tamme's yardage was more than double any single game effort last year's starter Levine Toilolo registered all 2014. It's a great sign for both Tamme and Matt Ryan that the tight end position was a productive option in Week 2. Although it was only one week, Tamme is one to monitor in the next few weeks.

Tamme caught three balls for 19 yards in Monday's win over the Falcons.
Neither Tamme nor fellow tight end Levine Toilolo were very productive, but Tamme did get three targets to Toilolo's one. Tamme won't replicate what Tony Gonzalez did a few years ago, but he could be a serviceable option in deeper leagues.
Thu Sep 10 201519:16Tamme (back) wasn't listed on Falcons' injury report Thursday
Tamme (back) wasn't listed on the Falcons' injury report Thursday, the team's official site reports.
Tamme changed locales in the offseason, exchanging Payton Manning for Matt Ryan. In four preseason games, he only managed one catch for 13 yards, during which he sustained a back injury and left the contest. However, the injury is behind him, as he gears up for his first appearance as the Falcons' starting tight end Monday versus the Eagles.
Fri Sep 4 201515:16Tamme hurt back while making 13-yard catch during first quarter ...
Tamme hurt his back while making a 13-yard catch during the first quarter of Thursday's preseason finale against the Ravens, the Falcons' official website reports.
Seemingly the frontrunner to start at tight end, Tamme did get the start in Thursday's game, but his injury could open up an expanded opportunity for Levine Toilolo and/or Tony Moeaki. The Falcons won't necessarily have an every-snap tight end, but even if they eventually do, the role probably wouldn't include many targets.
Fri Aug 21 201522:22Tamme targeted just once and failed to have reception in Friday'...
Tamme was targeted just once and failed to have a reception in Friday's game against the Jets.
The Falcons' passing game was virtually non-existent after the two drives led by Matt Ryan, but Tamme is still the frontrunner for the starting tight end position.
Sat Aug 15 201518:52Tamme started Friday's preseason opener against Titans
Tamme started Friday's preseason opener against the Titans, Justin Felder of FOX 5 Atlanta reports.
Although he wasn't targeted Friday night, Tamme is expected to open the season ahead of both Tony Moeaki and Levine Toilolo at tight end. Toilolo caught 3-of-4 targets for 36 yards in Friday's game, but his poor 2014 season probably won't be forgotten anytime soon.
Mon Aug 3 201523:52Tamme opening eyes in first few days in training camp
Tamme has been opening eyes in the first few days in training camp, the Falcons' official site reports.
Tamme currently has the inside track to win the starting tight end role, and although he's no Tony Gonzalez, he should have no problem surpassing the putrid production the Falcons got from their tight ends last season. If he wins the job, he's one to keep on your radar.

Wed Jun 17 201519:19Tamme has early lead in Falcons' tight end competition
Tamme has an early lead in the Falcons' tight end competition, Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Tamme signed with Atlanta after spending the previous three years with the Broncos and appears to be the favorite to start at tight end in the early going. While he was stuck playing behind Julius Thomas in his last two seasons with Denver, Tamme still has had two seasons in his career with 50-plus receptions and would bring some veteran experience to the Falcons' offensive attack. Fellow offseason acquisition Tony Moeaki has also impressed head coach Dan Quinn early on, while last season's starter Levine Toilolo appears to be destined for a blocking role in 2015.
Thu Mar 19 201515:27The Falcons have signed Tamme
The Falcons have signed Tamme, the team's official site reports.
Tamme, who recorded 14 catches for 109 yards with two touchdowns with Denver this past season, gives the Falcons, who started Levine Toilolo at tight end in 2014, added depth at the position, along with fellow newcomer Tony Moeaki, who also signed with the team on Thursday.
Mon Dec 22 201419:17Tamme (ribs) listed as active for Monday's game against Bengals
Tamme (ribs) is listed as active for Monday's game against the Bengals.
With fellow TE Julius Thomas back in the Broncos' mix, Tamme is off the fantasy radar in all but the deepest of formats. He's recorded just one catch in each of the last three games he has played in.
Sat Dec 20 201417:08Tamme (ribs) probable for Monday's game against Cincinnati
Tamme (ribs) is probable for Monday's game against Cincinnati.
Tamme practiced all week, so his rib issue is a very minor one. Other than a fluky 10-target game against St. Louis about five weeks ago, Tamme hasn't had a reliable role in the Denver offense, however.
Thu Dec 18 201418:20Tamme (ribs) limited at practice Thursday
Tamme (ribs) was limited at practice Thursday, ESPN.com reports.
With Julius Thomas back in action, Tamme's status for Monday night's game against the Bengals is of more importance to the Broncos' depth at tight end than it is to fantasy owners.
Sun Dec 14 201415:02Tamme (ribs) inactive for Sunday's game against Chargers
Tamme (ribs) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
With Julius Thomas active Sunday, Tamme's Week 15 status is of more import to the team's depth at tight end than it is to fantasy owners.
