Edelman caught four passes on five targets for 120 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-6 win at Dallas.
Edelman was having somewhat of a quiet game, until he slipped free for a 59-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter. On the play, Edelman showed off his signature elusiveness, making several defenders miss. Sunday's game marked the first time this season in which Edelman saw less than 10 targets, but Tom Brady attempted just 27 passes. There will be a lot of extra motivation for the Pats next week at Indianapolis, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Tom Brady air it out early and often, providing lots of opportunities for Edelman.

Edelman caught eight passes on 11 targets for 85 yards in Sunday's 51-17 win over the Jaguars.
Through three games, Edelman has been PPR gold, recording 30 catches for 279 yards and two TDs in the process. His next chance to rack up catches will occur on Oct. 11 against the Cowboys, with Patriots on bye in Week 4.

Edelman caught 11 passes (on 19 targets) for 97 yards and two TDs in Sunday's 40-32 win over the Bills. He also ran once for 12 yards in the game.
QB Tom Brady threw 59 times in the game, which helps account for Edelman's large amount of targets on Sunday. That's now two straight 11-catch, 97-yard games for Edelman, and while such a pace is clearly not sustainable, the wideout will continue to be a focal point in the Patriots' passing game and thus merits fantasy attention, notably in PPR formats.

Edelman caught 11 passes for 97 yards on 12 targets in Thursday's 28-21 win over the Steelers, adding one carry for nine yards.
With the New England offense depleted by injuries and suspensions, Edelman unsurprisingly saw a ton of targets in the short and intermediate passing game, accounting for 12 of Tom Brady's 32 pass attempts. Edelman's long gain went for only 14 yards, but he more than made up for it with his volume and catch rate. The Patriots will get LeGarrette Blount back from a suspension for Week 2 against the Bills, but with the receiving corps still lacking depth, Edelman should be in for a busy season.

Edelman (unspecified issue) does not appear on Monday's practice participation/injury report.
With Brandon LaFell (foot) on the Patriots' PUP list and Reggie Wayne having been cut, Edelman, who appears to have returned to health at this stage, should be busy in the team's Week 1 passing game, along with tight end Rob Gronkowski. With a high volume of targets likely on tap for him this season, fantasy utility remains in store for Edelman, while Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson are next up in the team's wideout pecking order.

Edelman (ankle) wasn't spotted on the field with the Patriots' wideouts in advance of Friday's preseason game against the Panthers, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports.
Edelman's limited practice participation this week foreshadowed his absence Friday, but the fact that he is back at practice, in any capacity, bodes well for his Week 1 availability.

Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald indicates that it "doesn't sound like" Edelman (ankle) will play in Friday's preseason game against the Panthers.
Edelman, who saw limited practice participation this week, appears to be progressing, but the report, which clarifies that it's an ankle issue that has slowed the wideout, suggests that Edelman seems likely to be among the Patriots who will be held out on Friday for rest/precautionary reasons.

Edelman (lower leg) participated in wideout drills during the open media portion of Wednesday's practice, NESN.com reports.
While it would surprise us if Edelman played in Friday's preseason contest against the Panthers, it's encouraging to see him continue to progress at this stage. Per the Boston Herald, Edelman responded coyly when quizzed about his Week 1 availability, but given that he is practicing, in any capacity, we suspect that the wideout will be a go for the Patriots' season opener, in the absence of any setbacks. Meanwhile, the status of fellow wideout Brandon LaFell (foot) appears more cloudy, considering that he remains unable to practice at this time.

Edelman (undisclosed) was spotted at the media access portion of Tuesday's practice, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
Per the Boston Herald, Edelman left the field midway through positional drills to work on rehab and conditioning on an adjacent field, but his presence at practice Tuesday, in any capacity, appears to support the notion that the wideout is progressing toward Week 1 on-field readiness.

Edelman (undisclosed) "is really close" to a return to action, per Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.
That said, Howe adds that the Pats "have zero interest" in rushing the wideout back, but at this stage there is nothing to suggest that Edelman's regular season status is in any danger.

Edelman (undisclosed) won't play Saturday at New Orleans, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports.
Joining Edelman in sweats are fellow wideouts Brandon LaFell (foot), Aaron Dobson (hamstring), and Brian Tyms (foot). As long as Edelman's unknown ailment sticks around, coach Bill Belichick is apt to hold him on the sideline.

Edelman (undisclosed) is not on track to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Saints, ESPN.com reports.
The same applies to fellow wideouts Brandon LaFell, Aaron Dobson and Brian Tyms, which figures to pave the way for the likes of Chris Harper, Brandon Gibson and Josh Boyce to see added reps on Saturday.

Edelman, who has been dealing with an unspecified injury, spent the first half of Tuesday's walk-through with the rest of the team, before working separately on conditioning for the remainder of the session, NESN.com reports.
At this stage, it's unclear if Edelman will suit up for Saturday's preseason contest against the Saints, but there is nothing to suggest that his regular season availability is in any danger.

Edelman (undisclosed) won't play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Packers, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports.
With Brandon LaFell (foot) and Aaron Dobson (hamstring) also out of commission, the Patriots' top receiving options will amount to Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola. Expect Edelman to be afforded as much time as possible to tend to the unspecified concern that has limited his practice reps in training camp.

Edelman, who has been limited by an unspecified issue of late, is among the Patriots unlikely to play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Packers, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
The same applies to fellow wideouts Aaron Dobson and Brian Tyms and with Brandon LaFell on the team's PUP list, he won't play Thursday night either. With several of the team's options at the position set to be sidelined, look for the likes of Josh Boyce and Danny Amendola, as well as some of the team's roster long-shots, to see their share of action in the contest.
Mon Aug 10 201518:32Edelman (unspecified issue) returned to limited practice Monday
Edelman (unspecified issue) returned to a limited practice Monday, NESN.com reports.
While his limitations Monday suggest that he will be eased back into the mix, Edelman's presence on the field would seem to confirm that whatever has been ailing the Patriots' top wideout is not a major concern.

Edelman (unspecified injury) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice, weei.com reports.
The report notes that when Edelman left Sunday's practice, he appeared to be favoring a leg or foot, with coach Bill Belichick predictably not shedding much light on the wideout's status before practice Thursday. For the time being, we'll consider Edelman "day-to-day," as Belichick does.
Tue Aug 4 201517:06Edelman (unspecified injury) did not practice Tuesday
Edelman (unspecified injury) did not practice Tuesday, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
Edelman, who evidently sustained some sort of ailment during Sunday's practice, did some rehab work Tuesday. Assuming his issue isn't anything major, Edelman remains on track to be heavily-targeted in the Patriots' offense, regardless of which QB is throwing him passes. With that in mind, starter Tom Brady is (at present) slated to serve a four-game suspension to start the season, but even in such a scenario, we'd still expect fill-in Jimmy Garoppolo to lean heavily on the likes of Edelman and TE Rob Gronkowski out of the gate.

Edelman caught 9-of-12 targets for 109 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-24 Super Bowl win over the Seahawks.
The Patriots largely avoided throwing at Richard Sherman, and they were able to get Edelman matched up with Tharold Simon and Byron Maxwell. Five different Patriots saw seven or more targets, with Edelman and Shane Vereen tied for the team lead at 12. Edelman played a fantastic game, but he did take a big hit in the second half, and he appeared to be shaken up on the play. He stayed in and made another catch shortly thereafter, which led to no shortage of questions about whether he played through a concussion. Edelman has a notable history of suffering concussions, with the most recent reported one coming in December. He's signed through 2017 on a team-friendly deal, and he figures to again have a huge role in the New England offense next season.

Edelman caught nine passes (on 11 targets) for 98 yards in Sunday's 45-7 win over the Colts in the AFC Championship Game.
With Super Bowl XLIX against the Seahawks not until Feb. 1, Edelman -- who missed time Sunday after suffering a hip injury -- should benefit greatly from some added rest, which he will be afforded by the Patriots' upcoming bye week.
